Course Curriculum Overview

4

Basically, the course curriculum has 2 class tests and 1 end-of-semester test along with an assignment which will either be a writing thing or group project or sometimes a seminar. The assignment given as a seminar is one of the good choices I feel because it makes us research more about the course. 2 class tests will make us study the whole syllabus part by part which is useful for us for the end semester. And we do have an attendance thing which is mandatory for every course. We should have above 75 percent to appear for the exam. So, I feel the course curriculum followed is pretty good. But all professors can change the writing assignment to a group project or a seminar by each. That's the only correction I feel.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is a little higher, we pay around 140000 every year alone with mess and hostel fees each semester. That is 41900 each semester. That is 41900 each semester. We also have fee remission for the students whose family income is less. It is of 2 categories. One is less than 5 lakhs and the other is less than 1 lakh. SC students are avail of free education without tuition fees. We also pay for college fests that happen every year.

Campus Life

5

Focussing on the social aspects yes there are a lot of opportunities available for the students on campus. From festival and cultural clubs to tech clubs there are a lot of diverse opportunities available for the students which enhances the social interactions and various opportunities for the students. Since in their fourth year, the students are going to take the whole responsibility of the clubs and fests they gain a lot of experience from that which is going to be helpful for them in their placement process. The facilities that are provided in the classrooms and sports complex are very helpful.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

When it comes to hostel facilities on a scale of 10 I would rate 5/10. It's because I found only one good thing about the hostel which is wifi which is very fast and unlimited. And the other good thing I would say is night canteens are open till 2.00 AM which is very helpful during exam times. The cons are the mess food which is not up to the point and water shortage which usually happens during the summer.

Admission

The admission process is purely based on Joint Entrance Examination which is the entrance exam for the engineering colleges like NIT. The cut-off varies from category to category. Since I'm from the general category the cut-off was above 97 percentile. The application form and fee details will be available on the JOSAA website and NITT website. All the details of the reservation will be given in the JOSAA website. Usually, the exams happen in two sessions one in January and the other one in April. I don't find any flaws in the areas of improvement I mean in the admission process.

Faculty

4

We are allowed to meet our faculties between 9 to 5 on all working days which helps us to get our doubts cleared. And our college faculties are very well qualified which helps us to know more about the course and also its very qualified which helps us to know more about the course and also its value abroad. Faculties students ratio is pretty decent. So we don't find it hard in any ways.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
