Course Curriculum Overview

3

Frequency of exams seem fine and is flexible too. Hoover the course content seems a bit outdated. As far as MME is concerned, they can embed courses that teach us integrating AI, ML and computational techniques into the core.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hostel fees are a bit high, and it is hiking every year. We face water shortage issues, unhygeinic washrooms, and we are not alllowed to use electrical appliances. Mess food is very average. We are provided with scholarships if we qualify the tests.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of clubs and teams you get to be a part of. We have NITTfest - inter department (March), Festember - Cultural (October), Pragyan - Technical (Jan/Feb), We also have Sportsfete, Aaveg - interhostel, and department symposiums. There are a wide range of clubs like 180DC, E-Cell, TedxNITTrichy, Akkara, Graphique PSI, 3D-Aeromodelling, Social Council and student council bodies. All these are run exclusively by the student community.

Hostel Facilities

3

Menu is very monotonous. Breakfast and lunch seems fine. But Dinner is worst. We don't have laundry facilities. We aren't allowed to have electrical appliances like kettle, and induction stoves. Worst part is we aren't even allowed to have table fans. Hostel registration is done immediately after the admission process on the same day.

Admission

Must secure a 95%+ (percentile) in JEE Mains to secure a seat here using home state quota. Apart from this we have the JOSAA counselling to fill in your preferred branches. At the end of counselling we get alloted departments in the basis of the JEE rank and score

Faculty

3.5

Faculties have good credentials and are very well qualified with just a few exceptions. They are ready to help us out with respect to clarifying doubts, and supervising projects etc. They also provide us with recommendation letters and stuffs

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
