Course Curriculum Overview
Personally, I love Computer science. Our university chose good syllabus. Yes, it is too large to handle, but at the end of the day they want to give you good knowledge in theory. This helps prepare our mind to solve real-life problems. exam date and timing need to improve. Exam questions are moderate but biassed. Sometimes a whole question paper is made from only one chapter. So we need to improve this field.
Internships Opportunities
OLA, IBM, IDZ, and WIPRO give internships with 20 to 30K stipends. Roles mainly as developers, like web or app . Project are mainly real-life problem-based solution. Outcomes like auto-sanitization machines. Auto garbage pick-up car. Auto-class attendance system, etc.
Placement Experience
Mainly, mass recruiters visit here. Almost 7 CGPA needed to sit for the placement exams. TCS, WIPRO, and ACCENTURE are the main companies, but sometimes, almost every year, OLA, IBM, and Amazon come here for 10 to 20 students with a big package like 14 lakh or more. This year's placement record is a good 102% placement rate. The highest package offered is 15 lakh. My plan for the future is higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees are normal here at 43K/sem. No other hidden charge is there. Extra 1K for exam purposes. Complete cost approx 3.58 Lakh. It may be changed if the university changes the fees structure. SVMCM and national scholarships are available. Also, there is a 50% cost deduction for the son or daughter of college staff. There are many industry-level internships but no campus-level work.
Campus Life
Campus Life is too normal. Actually, for privacy, there are no such groups. But sports meet culture meet frequently organised. Inter-departmental and inter-college sports are available on large college grounds. Culture fest Spandan and technical fest Resonance organised every year. Classroom are large in size. library has large number of stock and book bank are also available there.we can borrow book for 1 months
Hostel Facilities
Some classrooms have AC, but all rooms are fully decorated with fans and lights. All lab is air conditioned. The hostel meal is too good. Menu basically includes all Bengali foods available. Just fill a form during admission for hostel. Hostel management will contact with you. Here, a rented room or PG is available at a minimum cost.
Admission
You need to pass out your. 10+2 with PCM. For this college, you can also take admission through WBJEE and JEE (MAIN). WBJEE fees is 500 Rs, and Jee (main) is around 630 Rs. Both exams are conducted in April and January, respectively. Here, standard reservations are applicable. No, it has a good and easy admission process.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:10 per class. Faculties are well experienced. They have 10 to 15 years of teaching experience in different IITs and NITs. We have a separate cell for mentors for specific groups of students. They always intersect with us. We can approach them 24*7 for our doubts. They help with any questions asked. If any personal problems arise, they also try to sort them out.
