Remarks
This is the best college in South Kolkata I think. The faculty is helpful in class and outside of the class. College campus is as good as I expected in my school. But the area where this college is situated is not good. I am saying about the local area and transport system.
Course Curriculum Overview
5 courses(b.tech) are available in this college. All of them have a total of 60 seats. this college offers diploma and MBA. I think 6 courses are available in diploma with IT. Law will be introduced very soon. Exam structure is the same as all others engineering college have. 2 semester is in 1 year. And two small exam is held in one semester called internal exam. Generally, even semester are held in July and the odd semester is held in December.
Placement Experience
I can not say about another department i.e another course. But in our department (CSE) college provide the internship. Some time industrial visit also organized from college. The internship is provided based on student quality that which companies is better for which student. And stipend also depends on student quality and company and also his/her work. Placements and job opportunity are average. Only CSE ( Computer science and engineering ) and EC ( Electronic and Communication engineering ) are the courses that have good placements record. Some time some companies are take student from all departments.
College Events
One main event is fest( Annual Function). Which celebrate in between February and March. Freshers, Saraswati Puja, Holi, Independent day, college birthday, republic day, are celebrated by the student.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of all student is not the same. It varies with a different course. But variation is little bit approximate 2k - 6k. The average fee structure is 3.25L per year. This is only for academic charge i.e semester fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Some Scholarships are available in this college. Example - a special type of scholarship for that student who holds minority certificate and Muslim student. And above 8 pointer student are get the scholarship from college. There is a bank linked with this college but I'm not sure about student loan.
Campus Life
The condition of All laboratories is good. This college has a library also. The student can take book upon their needs. There are many extracurricular activities and sports like some indoor and outdoor games, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, swimming pool. There are different ground available for the different game.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure and facilities are good. The condition of Leaving rooms are good and well maintained. Others facilities are good except food. There are so many varieties of food but in case of quality, it is worth.
Alumni/Alumna
I can not say properly about the alumni network. But some senior student is really helpful. Not all. Some of them behave with us like own brothers in case of study or sports or some asking advice.
Admission
After the WBJEE exam, I attend the wbjee counseling process. Through this process, I got this college in CSE course. Then I contact with college with counseling result. As I came through wbjee counseling my seat was reserved for me.
Faculty
Before going to talk about faculty it will right to say that this college is serious about their and their student's future. There are different departments for different courses. All are properly educated and teaching skills are very well. As I said previously all faculty is very serious with their student's result. And sometimes it makes the student feel like school
