Course Curriculum Overview

4

The courses in bits are apt and precise. They follow what most of the indian colleges do. Although the courses are medium in difficulty the grading here in Goa is hard as compared to Hyderabad and pilani campuses.

Internships Opportunities

4

We have PS1 and PS2 along with SIPs for internships. Top companies like Google, atlassian, bain and co etc.. do visit bits for placements and internships.the stipend usually is good and depends on your cgpa.

Placement Experience

4

The campus placements is pretty decent. You get ps1 and PS2 for internships and experience. You also get SIPs that is summer internship programme where the company hires interns. The chances of getting pre placement offer is high in sips. The average package is around 17 to 18 lakhs for the whole batch. Non core placements is also done by students apart from core and making start ups

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee in bits is about 7 lakhs including hostel and mess. The hostel fee is about 50knper semester. The college offers two types of scholarship. One is merit which is given to top 1 percent of students in a year. The second is MCN(MERIT CUM NEED). This is given for students having more that 6.00 cgpa and the family income is less than 15 lakhs per annum(Goa campus)

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is awesome in bits goa. You get everything you need. The infra and academic buildings is quite good. The hostels first year students get is extraordinary. Clubs and departments are student run and are highly active in bits goa.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are pretty decent overall. The hostels first year students get are top notch. Although older hostels might not be that good but it is well enough. First year students usually get double occupancy and from 2nd year till the end you get single occupancy rooms. They are well furnished.

Admission

The cut off for 2023 has increased by around 50 marks for lower branches. The admission is done solely through bitsat for indian students while there is admission through SAT for international students. There is no reservation in bits. Admission is done solely through marks.

Faculty

5

The faculty in bits is highly trained. They must have atleast 1 publication of their work. They usually are friendly and have chamber hours for students to visit and solve doubts if any. The ratio of faculty to students is also very good.

Placement Experience:

I have no clue but the highest placements are in Computer and IT branches. Civil has probably the least placement. The quality is good thanks to IIT and NIT being in the same campus thus the big companies that come to those colleges also come to our colleges but they prefer those students more because NIT and IIT are more prestigious colleges.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is okay okay but not that great . Mech and civil don't have that much package avg of around 6 lakh and i guess only 10-11 got placed .. and 16-17 was eligibile for it. For eligible to placement you don't have any backlog in any subject and some minimum cgpa required too
