- Teaching faculty of this department is very nice . Sone teacher's are senior with their esteemed expirence and knowledge and some are young who can understand us in all ways
- Green and safe environment of University with many places to visit even inside the university like two museum, Riverside Park and Rose garden.
- Even the hostel facilities are to good with all basic facilities and eatable food of mess with 99 rupees per day
Dislikes
- Girls hostel has fix timings of closing and no boy is allowed even to enter the boundary of girls hostel
- Lack of bus facilities from hostel to departments
- Lack of cheap and good canteens in univesity
Course Curriculum Overview
There are various co-curricular activities with studies are done by the university and most important one is Ratnavali the state level of competition of all education institutions of Haryana. They also arrange various workshops, lectures and conference in University . Some improvements can be done that internal marks are not on the basis of attendance, only 70% attendance should be compulsory. Exams are held in December and may after 4 months of classes. Exams taken are of a good standard, they have an average to difficult level of questions which ensures that students have not just read these concepts but also understand them and can interpret them into different situations.
Fees and Financial Aid
Various scholarships like NSP, PMS , Dr Bhim Ambedkar scholarship, Indra Ghandhi Single Girl Chid scholarship and Topper scholarship is provided of amount Rs 20000, Rs 10000, Rs 1000 ,Rs 30000 And Rs 10000 per year are provided
Campus Life
Ratnavali in October, Diwali fest in November, Teej fest in August. The range of books and Library is so wide and any student can take as maximum of books as he or she wants Various sports activities like inter department cricket match , valley ball match are organised and various extracurricular activities like Rostrum, Poster making , Various Quizes are organised
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are provided with proper fans, lights, beds, tables chairs and wardrobes with proper washrooms. The quantity of food is average and menu is really well designed with all nutritious food Hostel application process is so easy,you have to just apply through your student login ID provided by the department . Pgs are also available by near by colonies like Shanti Nagar and Deedar Nagar
Admission
Candidate should have graduated in geography or interrelated disciplines and then apply for the entrance exam that is taken by the dept. and then cut off-list will decide on the final list of students. All reservation benefits are availed according to the constitution. Only one entrance is taken with an average level of difficulty
Faculty
All the teachers has PhD degrees and MPhil in their respective subjects and even some of them are working as a guide for PhD scholar in their subjects. Even some of them have diplomas ib Remote sensing, GIS and urban planning also.
