Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and curriculum of Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Trichy is pretty much guiding and really motivating towards its program objectives. The teaching methods and the practical knowledge of the laboratory courses really helps us to grasp the real world problems and their solutions.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

As of now I am a freshman so I don't have much to answer that but, how I have noticed that there are plenty of internship opportunities right after the completion of 1st year. I myself have enrolled for training plus internship program in machine learning and it's going on smoothly.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students here are eligible to get a college placement at their 3rd of course. On which there are many companies that visited here such as - Amazon, PayPal, Texas Industries, Qualcomm, and many more. The Average package here was around 1500000 per annum and the highest reached upto 7500000 per annum. I am currently planning for ISRO as a scientist there.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is a fixed amount of 62500 and rest is all other fees like wifi fees, infrastructure and all which changes in a course of an year. The total fees for the course is around 650000 which I would consider a decent amount for both the parties. There are many scholarship schemes like NSP, SC/ST scholarship for TN students and many more for better economic support for needy students.

Campus Life

4.5

There are literally so many clubs of different interests - NITTFEST for example is our inter-department cultural fest, PRAGYAN - the annual TechFest of NIT Trichy and many more like FESTEMBER. There are approximately every book from every engineering field here, mathematics, engineering of the respective fields, in-depth research papers, etc. The classrooms have a projector to give a better presentation to the students in a live class. The campus is delighted with the spirit of sports. There's a sports complex which has badminton courts, basketball courts, lawn tennis court, table tennis table, a cricket pitch, cricket practice nets, 400m race ground, etc. Nearly all the clubs in NITT are students-run clubs which is a great thing to share. This actually impacts on other students to boost their inner leadership qualities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We have 3 hostels alloted for our batch, 2 of which are double sharing, and the one left is triple sharing. The double sharing rooms are enough spaced and sufficient for two people to settle. Meal quality in the mess is decent, nothing much to say about it :,). Allotment for hostel is totally random, on chit basis. After that you'll get registered with room you have lifted the chit of.

Admission

Eligibility of the course is to secure a qualifying rank in JEE MAINS exam. The cutoff for qualification of the exam was around 91 %ile for a GEN candidate. For ECE in NIT Trichy, CRL rank should lie somewhere around 2000-4500 for GEN, Category rank of 250-730 for SC. The application of the course is implied under the counselling procedure conducted by JoSAA. The JEE MAINS is one of the esteemed entrance exams in India and under my perspective, if a person is dedicated enough to crack then it's just an exam to appear.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are really interactive in nature and are pretty much qualified in their respective fields. I have a very great experience with many of my professors. They have a motive that every student should not focus on tests and all, rather they should focus on understanding the facts and practicality of the engineering field.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
