Likes

The college atmosphere is good and the nature around the college is cool .
In winter , the college seems very cool and we can enjoy a lot in different parks inside the university
Every morning snd evening any time you can go to college ground and you can play different types of games eith different types of people

Dislikes

Mainly the faculty , the faculty doesnt teaches about much and say , you want to learn only
The security guards are every where and if you did a small mistake also they will keep unfair means caseall mistake then they will ke
Specifically the summer and winter conditions in the campus are very hard and it is big campus

Like I choose computer science and engineering because as you can see that in the upcoming generations, there most of the people are changed or upgrading by artificial intelligence so it influenced me to choose cse

the internship opportunities available in our college is good because good companies like amazon , flipkart , rapido etc are coming to our college and in campus placements are good like they will give you traing etc, you can do projects to show skills what you have got.

Yeah there is broad placement in our campus big bif companies like amazon , Google etc visit our campus and select students from various courses like cse , ece etc but only thing Is avg package is 5 to 6 lacks and highest package is 3 crore , 40 percent of students got placement after completing the degree I will go to do M.tech

Fees and Financial Aid

Like if you want to join in any course in cse its better to choose cse - core which is around 100000 /- course fees because you can learn everything for 2 years after you can choose a specific specification

Campus Life

The overall experience with campus life, focusing on social aspects, club involvement, and the infrastructure provided is good , like you can enjoy with study as well and there is dsw which is also known as student welfare wing which provides student clubs in which you can get confidence

Hostel Facilities

In 4 seater ac rooms which is about 90000 you can have an ac , two attached washroom , you can get cart and a study table and chair to sit infront of study table , food quality is ok ok like you can eat, register process for hostel is easy you have a website of lpu and you can go to dashboard there residential facilities and hotel booking then you can book and stay

Admission

In the admission process you there are 3 to 4 steps it is easier like at first you want to scan the qr code and enter otp and go then they will give you one paper in which you details are present then they will do document verification and then you want to pay fees and enter to the college

It's like 1 faculty for 1 subject to 60 students is such a bad thing ,like it effects learning experience like if 1 faculty member take 60 students in a class for one hour is very hard like they want to take attendance and start the class etc , the faculties are multitalented I think who did PhDs in different subjects and they teach kinda good btw. After the classes you can have a free time and if faculty have a free time you can go to him or you can take his number and you can call him and you can approach him by any doubts in the subject etc

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Dislikes

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
