Galgotias University (A University Improving Every Passing Year)

The Courses provided under the Program have been very vast and surely influence the students in order to study and improve themselves. The curriculum has been mostly in accordance with the rules and regulations of Bar Council of India and do prepares the students to have enough theoretical ok knowledge of the laws of India with time also being provided for Internships to gain practical knowledge of Law. The areas of improvement in the course curriculum has to be the area of some of the honors courses which do not align and give proper knowledge of Law in that particular field (Criminal, Corporate or Constitutional). The timing of exams has been one of the biggest issues the students face in the university as they are always giving exams every alternate months and do get frustrated by the pressure of the examinations. The difficulty level of the exams has been pretty moderate for the students to handle and are not very hard or very soft for the students.

The tuition fees has been increased up to 1 Lakh 20 Thousand from 1 Lakh 10 Thousand from the year 2021. The reason for the hike has to be the improving infrastructure of the university along with improved facilities for the students. The complete cost of my education each year has to be the academic fees (1,10,000), service fees is included as the exam fees in the academic fees and other travelling expenses for me has to be 4000-5000 per month as I Live in Delhi NCR and have to travel each working day. There have been a few scholarships provided to the Local Students of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar which I do not know the names of, but my friends have been taking the scholarships in the university. I do not know much about campus employment.

My overall experience has been pretty good in the university as I've enjoyed myself and taken my classes regularly and have taken a few of the events also. There are many events conducted every year where Bollywood celebs, guest speakers (international and national) perform according to their field of specialization. There are various facilities provided to the students and many opportunities are also provided in the form of academic events or fests for the students to improve and enjoy. Sports and extracurricular activities are also conducted each year with more focus on the initial year students. There are many social groups, clubs for the students to join which highly impact their social lives as they interact with other people of the same university and other universities and enhance their social lives.

The eligibility of the course is 55% in your 12th Exams from a competitive board of education. The application form is available on the Official Website of the University and the students may check the fees and other material information about the course on the official website. There are no reservation benefits provided. The timing of exams as I have previously also told about has been a bigger issue which the students face in the university. They are conducted every alternate month and disturb the students mentally as a few times in some of the courses, the syllabus is also pending. This issue needs to be improved by the management.

The faculty to student ratio has never been an issue with Galgotias University as they always fill up for those professors leaving. Still some of the professors do leave mid semester because of which new faculty is not able to adapt in a better way to the subject and with lesser time remains for the Examinations, the students do suffer sometimes. The faculty hired are always very knowledgeable over particular subjects and areas and their teaching abilities are never in question (except a few who still are very knowledgeable faculty but because of a few differences treat the students differently). The interaction between teachers and students has been very good with the teachers being available in the faculty room whenever they have break from the classes. The teachers also are very appreciative and helpful for the students and always tend to help the students improve in any particular subject or for their personal queries also.
