Lpu has lush green campus which is the best part of LPU also the diversity of students here is great, Faculty here is very good, and educated enough to help you in Eve aspects of your life
Great Infrastructure and affordable fees, University conducts various Events and hackathons one can make use of it and can learn many things out of it
Various technical, non - technical event happens which are very good and relaxing after attending hectic, tight packed scheduled classes

Dislikes

Placement services are not so good as they advertise in their banners and prospectus
Classes are way too hectic and we get no time for self study
Too much academic pressure on students, exam are conducted too oftenly

I have chosen BTECH CSE in LPU as I had very keen interest in coding and lpu provided me with all those resources that can help me build a career out of it. Course curriculum is great. There's around 8 to 9 subjects every semester.

Internships Opportunities

Many intership opportunities are provided by the university for 2nd year and 3rd year students. Basic eligibility to apply for internship is that you should not have any backlog and reappear in any semester exams.

Placement Experience

Our university has not so great placement for those who just take this course for granted. Placement is for those who actually have skills. Talking about average package it is around 400000, and highest package is 640000 and minimum package is 200000 per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

Actual semester fee is around 140000 per semester but there are a lot of scholarship opportunities based on LPUNEST,JEE MAINS, 12TH BOARD EXAMS, one can easily avail scholarship opportunities here in our university

Campus Life

There are many technical non technical fest happens. One such is one India fest where every cultural diversity is depicted and glorified. Also the university conducts hackathon every month where one can show their coding skills, apart from hackathon and fest, many workshops on speaking skills, vocabulary, technical, coding are being conducted each and every week where student can register and can elevate their skills to the fullest

Admission

Admission process is very simple basic eligibility is that you have cleared your 12th boards with 60% marks to be eligible for all courses. For admission in BTECH CSE, a student has to sit in LPUNEST entrance exam which is conducted every year by the university. After LPUNEST you will be given scholarshy as per the your performance in LPUNEST, a counselling will be done and you will be asked to provide the necessary documents during this process.

Faculty

Faculty and student ratio is about 1:50,there's no such problem of interaction between students and teachers, we always asks doubts and do a alot of discussion despite the 1:50 ratio. Faculty are well qualified some of them are from well reputed institutes like IIT,NIT and most of the faculty have cleared competitive exams at some point in their life. We often interact with faculty regarding academic and non academic as well.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

Big campus and beautiful garden and environment
Aqi was soo good because plants and tree was so much

Mess food was bad but it doesn't taste that bad
If we Complaint about anything college mostly ignore it

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
