Course Curriculum Overview
I am keen in the political science since I was in 11th class. Even in school I used to have unofficial debates with my classmates and I have personal pikings for the subject. As far as improvement in the course curriculum is concerned, I would prefer that each of the different ideologies should be taught differently in class and in the course, more modern Indian political thinkers should be added. The course gives me a taste of different ideologies of the world that improves my view about different policies. As far as exams are concerned, we have to give mid semester exams, viva and then semester exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall the fee structure is good, there is no such big hike in the fee. It costs me 6500 to 7000 Rs. per year. Students get financial assistance from the college itself and also from the government scholarships. Even I have got the government scholarship last year. Their is no such campus employment procedure in the college now.
Campus Life
We generally in college have functions on 15th August and 26th January. The students have access to library in college. You have to get library card issued. The technology in the classrooms can be improved more. We get chances for different activities like debates, essays, poems, speeches etc. The college have the sports facilities like Football, Badminton, Cricket etc. Their are the branches of ABVP and NSUI
Admission
The eligibility for the course is 12th class. In order to seek admission in the main campus, the students have to undergo the entrance exam with the mid to high range cutoff. One can fill application form from the website of the university. The reservation benefits can be availed of one belongs to such category. Each year their is an entrance exam for the admission and the difficulty level is mid to high. One has to prepare well yo seek admission. The admission process is fast but on certain occasions there is some delay in result declaration which could be improved.
Faculty
All the faculties are highly qualified and most of them are friendly and supportive to the students. The faculty to student ratio is around 1 : 45. Their is some lack of practicality in teaching. Even during classes, and after classes we are allowed to interact with teachers and they are easily accessible if they are free.
