Remarks
Most of the faculty(civil Engg. especially) are quite good and are happy to deliver the knowledge to the students. Hostel Facilities are quite good in my opinion. Extracurricular activities are quite high in number with active participation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course eligibility is Candidate must have pass 10+2 from the recognized board. The course has a maximum of 8 semesters in 4 yrs course. Each year have 2 semesters with 6 months of each semester. All semester is needed to pass mandatory.
Placement Experience
To be honest, it's not good. If you are willing to work for a software company then yes you shall try for it but the thing is there are hardly any companies arriving in our college for core branches placement. Its already March 2019 and we haven't seen any core company in my branch(civil). While there were hardly 5-8 placements in mechanical and electrical branches in a core company.
College Events
It is the annual college fest which is a cultural event and has hardly any technical even. It's nothing much related to personality development but more focused as a recreational event. It also have celebrity night, we had seen some bollywood singers like amit trivedi and all here. day etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure remains the same for all four years For session 2015-2019 (per year, i.e. 2 sem fees) Gas seat are government aided seats, some branches have them Tuition fee - Rs70,000 (General Seat); Rs 35,000(GAS Seat); TWFS- Rs 17,500(1 student per branch). Other expenses in the first year are the caution money which can be summed up to be Rs 10,000 in tuition fee and exam fee. The exam fee is generally Rs 1,200 (per sem)
Fees and Financial Aid
Personally, I never applied for them but several of my friends had. If you are from SC/ST category and having a family income less than 6lpa you can easily get a tuition fee waiver scholarship i.e. the whole tuition fee will be provided to you as a scholarship. (Jan Kalyan) Aside from these, there are several other scholarships for students belonging to educationally weaker section.
Campus Life
Life on campus is not one we see in movies, we don't have pizza clubs in our canteen we have samosa and Maggie. In simple words initially, people have high expectations but soon we get adapted to college life. The accommodation and facilities are quite good as per the fees structure.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees - Mess Fee- Rs 43,200; Living expenses- Rs 10,000 (single seater); Rs 6,000(approx, Two or three seater) And Rs 6,000 in Hostel fee So total of Rs 55,000 in first year and Rs 53,000 in remaining.
Alumni/Alumna
The interaction between seniors and juniors is quite good. The recent passing outs have quite a good interaction with first-year students. Aside from this, there are several occasion in which the college arrange the guest lecture from the notable alumni. There are several alumni who also help the current students regarding placement and its quite easy to share your problems like what to do (common thought in final year).
Admission
In 2015, RPET exam was canceled which was the general procedure for getting admission in RTU Kota so the State education department created a process called REAP. In that, we had to just submit the scorecard of JEE Mains and on the basis of that rank was generated. My rank was 1729 in the REAP ranking and got admission in the college in the second round of counseling.
Faculty
I won't speak much on the other branches as I can't be sure about the word from the mouth but in case of my branch i.e. civil engineering, the faculty is quite good. The teachers are willing to deliver what they have, but yes there are some about whom we think how they even got there. But we can ignore that as the subjects those teachers teach are not too important, like the elective ones. Especially the newly recruited faculty from NPI is quite awesome they are transforming the college as they are young and are mostly IIT postgraduates.
