University college of engineering, Osmania University

Our college has a good environment but the thing that concerns me a lot is the canteen. Our canteen is the inky drawback of our college.

This is the best engineering college in Telangana state through EAMCET and oldest. This is the only college in Telangana with NAAC A+ grade. It is one of the oldest in the whole of India. Apart from IITs and NITs, it has been regarded as the best engineering college. And in the recent survey, it stood better than some IITs.

I'm a student who is pursuing a bachelor of engineering in electrical engineering. Our college has a very big Library with lakhs of books which are being used to complete my curriculum. And our college provides e-journals. They may also help sometimes.

No our doesn't provide any internship directly but if we get placed in any company during placement season company will provide long-term internship and our college has permission to do an internship over semester we can opt for online courses and write our last semester exams through online

Placements in our college have a very good record every year. Nearly 90% of students will be placed every year in 50+companies but a maximum of these components are software based. For core branches like electrical, mechanical and civil engineering companies will be less and opportunities will be less.

Every year we have a cultural fest named AMUSANT conducted in August. And every department has their own technical fest conducted in the month of March every year. Our department technical fest name is Techsonance. This is a great stage for every electrical engineering student to show their skills.

Since our college is Government institution its fee structure is very feasible. There will be a 10000 rupees of institution fee for every year. But students who are economically backward need not pay this amount. And exam fee of 1500 rupees this amount should be paid by all the students who are willing to write the semester exams.

No, the scholarship is not provided by the college. But the government will provide a scholarship. But college management will give prize money of 8000 at the end of the year for the topper in academics

Since our college has a large area and mostly covered with trees we won't be disturbed with any disturbance. We get a nice feeling while walking through the roads in our college. And coming to gender ratio seats are divided into 1:1 ratio for boys and girls.

Our college has two boys hostels and a Girls hostel for B.E Students. Since the hostels are old they look very weird but the maintenance of hostels is nice and clean. Food served in the mess is good. The hostel has every facility required by the students

There is a alumni association in our college that connects new students to the alumni those who are present in different places. And seniors interact with their juniors and helps us a lot

Each year we have 2 end-semesters examinations. And each semester has two mid-semester exams. This mids are conducted for 20 marks. And end semester is conducted for 70 marks. 10marks for assignments/seminar/objective test. And an average of both mid examinations is calculated and sum it with end sem exam marks and assignment marks and this sum are the total marks obtained in the final and grades will be given according to the sum.

I was joined in this college through TS-EAMCET 2015. I scored 108/160 marks and got 1874 rank. TS EAMCET is the only way to get a seat in this college. Since this college has the best reputation in whole India and less availability of seats getting a seat in this institute is very difficult. I got a better so I got the chance to study in this college

Since this is a very old college we have experienced faculty and they have very good knowledge in our course. They always present in the department and if we have any doubts on the subject we can easily contact them in their rooms. They are always ready to help us during college timings.
