Likes

College placements are good. Many people get Marquee and Super Dream offers ranging from 12-25 LPA.
Diverse student driven club provide ample learning and networking oppurtunities.
Very clean environment inside the campus full of trees and shade. You wont feel Chennai's weather inside campus.

Dislikes

The faculties dont know how to teach the subject properly.
All round year construction going on currently, disturbs studies.
Overpopulated with students, difficult and highly competitive environment. Cannot get seat in library.

Course Curriculum Overview

The placements for CSE branch is quite good. There is a huge intake of crowd in this branch so the competition is tough. The curriculum is well updated to suit both industrial and academic needs. The university and students club regularly host tech talks and webinars on latest trends. The exams happen frequently, each semester contains 3 Class Tests, Mock Practicals, University Practicals and finally End Semester Examinations.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience

The students become eligible for campus placements right from the start of final year. For the batch of 2025, MNC's like Microsoft, BNY, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan&Chase, Junglee Games have provided marquee offers to over 150+ students uptil now (2 months since start).

Fees and Financial Aid

For BTech in CSE Core the newer batches have paid Rs. 450000 per annum, an hike of 50000 from last year (2026 batch). For us it was for 350000 per annum for four consecutive years. SRM conducts SRMJEE where 1-500 rank get 100% tution fee waiver. There are other scholarship benefits through sports or military quota.

Campus Life

SRM has two seasonal fests Aaruush and Milan. Aaruush inclined more on technical and gaming events run by student led committee while the later is more cultural. We have had popular singers and standup comedians create memorable times during these events. The campus becomes very lively during these days.

Admission

The admission process was straightforward, if you qualify SRMJEE with a good rank you will get a seat. A good rank is till AIR 2000 but I know many people who joined with a rank below than that too. The only thing i dont like is the large number of CSE branch intake.

Faculty

There are lesser number of qualified faculties who know how to teach their subjects properly and students love them. Their teaching method is quite professional and they utilize all the 21st century education tools. The rest are just worse, they dont know how to teach, they dont give marks and hold grudges over students. All faculties are strict in following the 75% attendance criteria.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

My bad campus life

The environment is very good.its very natural atmosphere.
Teaching and facilitys are nice.we can learn very much.
The all facility is near by near .its a good thing.

Dislikes

The management is very bad.they not consider our students.
The fees structure is very different for all students.its too bad.and they decided the fees category is very cheep.
The hostel facility is not good.and also food its very bad.

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
