- Faculties here are pretty good. they are supportive and also promote good environment
- curriculum is also pretty chill. there's not much of a headache apart from the obvious
- placement cell at Bengaluru campus is also good. they try to tie-up with some very good companies.
Dislikes
- There are many restrictions and rules. which i feel is ridicules given the fact that we live in 21st century and the world outside is going way ahead
- there's a uniform which is compulsory for all the students
- There's not much of a flexibility in the curriculum. as in there're not many options available
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum here is very much fixed and is changed only after 5 years, i assume. But from the past 1 year there have been a bit of changes here and there, as in some of the faculty members are trying to make the course more interective and relivent.
Internships Opportunities
Internships oportunities are less but the one that comes are decent. Off Campus internships are not encouraged very much. some companies such as Faplabs, schnider, cisco come for internship offers for core branches.
Placement Experience
Placements cell at Bengaluru campus is very dedicated and helpful. Althought there is a bit of preference given to the main branch, i.e Coembitore. Last year placements were not so good for our campus. AIE 9.5 Lac avg. package CSE 9.3 Lac ECE 7.3 Lac EAC 7.5 Lac EEE 6 Lac
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure varies depending on the branch that you get. so for ECE, which is my department there are 4 slabs. where the 1st one is of RS 100000 (INR). all these slabs are based on your marks, either JEE MAINS or AEEE and so are the scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus life here is dull. there are not many fesivals celebrated here. The library is good, it has almost all the course books available and also some books related to religions. the library can be accessed from anywhere in the campus and also you can get access to research papers. the labs are decent but the classrooms are not smart, mobile phone usage is prohibited in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not good keeping in mind the fees charged. The food served is not good and the rooms are shared with 4 students which makes it very difficult to focus as everybody have different time schedules. The in time restrictions are also there. the in timing is 6:30 PM and out timing is 3:30 PM. there is no outside food allowed and nobody can even order anything apart from snacks, that too it should be ordered before 7:00 PM. after that nothing is allowed. there are 4 gate pass and 2 out pass per month. so it is kind of a restricted zone.
Admission
The admission process is very straight forward. there are 3 ways to get in: 1st JEE MAINS, 2nd AEEE and 3rd being the management quota. the admission is obviously based on merit for the 1st two options and the cutoff varies every year. for us it was 95%tile for CSE, 88%tile for EAC AND ECE, 83%tile for EEE AND MEC
Faculty
As i said earlier, the faculty here is very good. they are very supportive and ine can go anad talk to them at any point of time. They are always open for discussion and also help you get through your projects and stuff. the only problem is that most of them are very uptight, which i believe is due to the rule and regulations that are there in the college.
