Remarks

Our principal is the best remark. Everything goes easy in management you can meet principal anytime you can ask him any help. He is one of the best guy in DU.

Entrance Preview

The admission was done on the merit basis and cut-off % of our 12th class. At my time, I got admission in 1st cut-off list which was 86%. And now it was 95% for 2016 batches. (Well! Its DU). I choose maths honors because I've been always in logic and numbers. Maths always makes me stress free. Although I did not wanted to come to this particular college. But as It started, I found it more enjoyable here. This college has everything you would want. First of all, infrastructure - one of the best in Du. Second is locality - situated in very posh area of south Delhi. And the most important thing - the crowd. Altogether, these things makes it the best college of South Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

To be very frank, doing graduation in Maths honors is nothing closer to the intermediate class' maths. If you think you would do solve some numericals all the time, then you are wrong. Here, it is basically about what is the reason behind basic knowledge and concepts of mathematics. There were total 4 exams per semester I.e. 24 exams at all. 3 were of core maths and 1 was credit course. Most important subject was Algebra - both linear and abstract, which can shake your mind in a single theorem. It is endless theory of thinking. Your imaginative power must be very good to understand its concept. And as you study this subject, your imagination power becomes stronger and stronger.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there is a central placement cell of Delhi University which provides the internship and jobs. You need to apply for this CPC and all the details are there on website of DU. Stipend is maximum 10k but the best thing is you earn knowledge.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is a college placement cell also. Many big companies come to recruit graduates of different field. Some of the names are Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, TCS and many more. At my time of placemnet, the average package of most of the companies were 3 - 3.5 lacks.

College Events

4.5

There are two important events of the college - Common fresher's party and Cultural Fest. As you enter your new college, there is a fresher's welcome party organised by the elected Union of college politics. As a fresher, you can participate to get the Mr. or Mrs. Fresher's title. The cultural festival is of 3 days. This event is really huge. All three days are so much entertaining. Dance, Singing, Nukkad Plays happens around in the college. Participants from different colleges of DU. You can also represent you college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is totally feasible. Every year you would hardly have to give 10k for all the college fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any knowledge about loan or something. But, you can apply for fees concession and if the college takes an interview. After that your all tuition fees in free.

Campus Life

5

In one word, I would say it was an awesome all-rounder college. Dance Society, Drama Society, Fashion Society, College Politics - you can see it everyday. You can find people all around the India, even some foreigners also. So there is a great unity in all of the diversity.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is no hostel facilities, but you would not die hungry because the college canteen is really good and there is a Maggie point outside the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors always help you in every matter if you know how to get the help. Always be respectful and polite and they are all yours.

Exam Structure

Exams are total hectic but only in examtimes. The whole semester, I had 2-3 assignments and 2-3 tests for internals marks. So it was all chilled out.

Faculty

4

There are goods and bad everywhere. You can disappoint with some of faculties (40%) but rest of the faculty is real good. I mean, they would not just give you the knowledge of particular things but also they motivate you to do more and more. They would help you to rise like a good mathematician if you follow them. They can show you greatness of maths but finally, it all depends on you how you accept that greatness with more and more self study.

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
