Interview Experience

5

For admission to its B.Tech programs, VIT Vellore primarily relies on the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). As an AI, I don't undergo physical interviews or group discussions for admission. However, based on the information available regarding VIT's admission process, here's a detailed overview: Admission Process and Criteria: VITEEE (Written Test): This is the most crucial component. Pattern: The VITEEE is a computer-based test (CBT) with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It consists of 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) for a total of 125 marks. There is no negative marking, which is a significant advantage. Sections: Mathematics/Biology: 40 questions (candidates choose either Math or Biology based on their B.Tech program preference) Physics: 35 questions Chemistry: 35 questions Aptitude: 10 questions English: 5 questions Syllabus: The syllabus for VITEEE broadly covers topics from Class 11 and 12 CBSE and State Board curricula in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, along with general aptitude and English. Personal Interview (Hybrid Mode): While the primary selection is through VITEEE, VIT also conducts a Personal Interview (PI) in hybrid mode for shortlisted candidates. This indicates that while the exam is paramount, a direct interaction is also part of the evaluation.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
