Course Curriculum Overview
Course outline are really good and they prepare you for relevant industry skills and knowledge. It is designed specifically to provide edge to the students in early season of summer internship and placement. Exams are not difficult and generally requires to apply theoretical knowledge into real world problems
Internships Opportunities
There were more than 80 companies that came for summer internship. I got internship in a startup as a Marketing and business strategy intern. The learning experience was very good and gained hands on experience of difficulties in running a startup and financial constraints faced to grow the business.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees is around 9,00,000 per year including hostel. It is same for core and TM batch. Mess fees is seperate but food is affordable and tasty. There are many paid subscription included in fees for academic purposes.
Campus Life
Sierra our annual fest is the most anticipated one. In addition to the that there are many business conclaves conducted through out the year. We also have our own Sirmaur premier league. The clubs and committees also play a crucial part in running institute and handles different task. IIM Sirmaur has domain based clubs and organizes different national level competitions and bring live project opportunities for the students
Hostel Facilities
All rooms are single occupancy type and you will be given every basic facilities. The rooms are air conditioned to save you from heat of DHAULAKUAN. The warden are there to help you and are just a call away. There are common room on every alternate floor where you can blow of steam with friends
Admission
IIM Sirmaur select it's students after CAT examination and percentile differs based on different courses offered. Selection process involves Personal interview under CAP process and weightage is given to academic background of students to keep diverse pool of students
Faculty
Faculties are very supportive having vast knowledge and experience of their respective domains. They can be easily approached outside the classrooms and will help in every way possible. They even provide support in getting live projects. Grading system is also very good and student are judged not only on the basis of exams but also class participation projects and quizes.
Interview Experience
The question for Personal interview were mainly based on past academic background and personal experiences and about ourselves. The selection had seperate weightage for gender and academic background to ensure and maintain diversity in the campus and provide opportunity for everyone
