- It is situated in middle of the sambalpur main city so. The university is present in a safe and easily accessible area.
- It have a big field and lots of building with good infrastructure.
- Sufficient number of faculties are there in every department.
Dislikes
- In Biotechnology department there is no lab so we have to use department Botany's lab.
- Due to lack of lab practicals are not done properly.
Course Curriculum Overview
Biotechnology is a growing sector in India. I choose Biotechnology because it provides both industrial placement and higher studies options which leads to teaching profession. We study about a lot of subjects which have great values in our daily life. For example Cancer Biology, because of this course we are able to understand more about cancer so we can identify it in its early stage and mainly we know by which methods we can prevent cancer for occurring. We can also educate people around us about what is good or bad for health.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am doing MSc in Biotechnology and the annual course Fee is 6000. Its affordable plus students can apply for scholarships from state government and central government. Which is aprox 10000 so overall we can say the students are getting the benefit. And the course fee is not increasing.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good filled with lots of celebration like Annual Day, Foundation Day, Ganpati uttsav, cultural day, sports day and sambalpuri day too. Functions are gonna happen throughout the year. A big library is available with very large range of books and a study room is also there in the library section. Classroom have projector facilities and new classroom are getting AC too. Different type of sports club are there and tournaments occurs regularly. Student body is present and Different type of talent clubs are there.
Admission
1. it provides the course that i desire. 2. Our university have good reputation in the society. 3. It is present in a good location. The admission process includes the state level entrance examination conducted by the odisha state government for PG admission. The mark you secured in the entrance and the mark you secured in your graduation counts for the admission process. We have to apply is SAMS for the colleg in choice locking and after that based on the mark you will get selected by the college. And the admission process in the college is very easy ,after certificate verification you just need to fill a form and anti ragging agreement, after that you have to pay the admission fee and the admission is done.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:6. Faculty members are friendly and they helps us a lot. Our HOD sir tries his best to help the students with scholarships and all. There are 2 semesters per year and 1 semester is consist of 1 Mid terms 1 practical exam and the final end terms. The examination system is very good. Questions are of moderate level.
