Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is great for today's world. It provides both industry exposure as well a great research experience. The areas of improvement can be more involvement of technology in teaching methods. The exams are quite good and require great efforts for getting good marks .

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The intership packages or stipend are from 1 lakh per month to as high as 2.5 lakh in good tech companies. Other students pursue research internship in labs of professors in the institute of in IITs, NITs , IISERs or Niser .

Placement Experience

4

The placements are quite great . Those who opt for placement gets them . The highest offer was 63 LPA from M.Qror branch and average was more than 18 lakhs per annum.the companies which visited were BlackRock , optiver , Microsoft, Google , nomura bank etc. After completion of my degree I will pursue PhD which is the most followed path here .

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I will be paying is 205000 or 102500 per semester. The tuition fees is 1 lakh per semester and other fees is 2500 per semester. For sc st students there is no tuition fees taken. The institute provides fee waiver for students having parental income less than 5 lakhs . For students having parental income between 1 lakh and 5 lakhs the tuition fees is 66.67% waived off . For students having parental income less than 1 lakh there is no tuition fees

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest is Integration. The fest comprises of wide ranging events , seminars and extracurricular activities. The institute have a club to look after all the extra curricular and sports activities through out the year.

Admission

I also applied to other colleges in engineering through jee mains but couldn't get the cut-off marks cleared . The admission process of ISI is through ISI admission test .this test has great toughness and only tastes mathematics of 10+2 level. After you give the exam they publish a merit list and if you have your roll number mentioned there congratulations on getting into ISI.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty to student ratio is quite good 1 :10 which enhances the teacher student interaction a lot. The faculty I liked is professor gopal krishna basak who is the dean of studies. His humbleness and down to earth nature makes him different from other professors. There are mainly 2 exams mid semester and end semester as mandatory having at least 80% to your grade and other 20% is either taken through quizzes or assignments.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
