- People here are very friendly and helpful, and also we get to attend many interesting Seminars very month
- Most of the teachers are very friendly and helpful. They always helps us whenever we have some confusion regarding any topic
- The campus is mostly clean and fresh and also secure from bottom to top
Dislikes
- Few teachers from English department are horrible , and very very very rude
- The bathroom isn't clean enough, the flush doesn't work most of the time
- The college union is the worst and very stupid. If one can avoid that then it's a good place to study and have fun.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in literature so I chose to study English literature. There are plenty of things to learn about and trust me it's not how people think it is. It gives you a deep insight of history too. Speaking of improvement in course curriculum, I think the college needs to have equal rules for everyone. I mean there are some teachers who only favour their favorites. And the provide very low marks in assignments. So I guess it needs to be fixed The duration of a class is 60 mins. Somedays there are total 5 class a day and some days just 2, depends on the shedule. The education system is really strong and the professor doesn't only teach syllabus but also teaches other things which can be very helpful for PhD
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees of my college is 2000 and 350 extra for exams. The campus is really good , teachers are also very helpful and they have a very fine method of teaching, the campus is very secure comparing to other universities, but the thing is the college doesn't provides job or internship
Campus Life
Well , it was decent , the campus is not that bad, the sports teams are also good, the only thing I have a problem with is the library I think the college needs to add more books there. I couldn't find most of the books I was looking for in last 2 years. The student portal is also very helpful and active
Hostel Facilities
There's one bedroom a kitchen and a bathroom, all are very clean and protected from insects, the dinner time is 9pm and no one can go out or come in after 10pm. The food quality is also decent. I applied through a advertisement poster on the college campus
Admission
Well actually the competition in English literature is very high. Even after having good marks in H.S it was still difficult for me to get addmission. I remember 2000 people applied for English literature in my college. Besides that I belong from general cast so I received no advantages. So my name came up only In this college and it was getting very late already so I didn't wait anymore and joined this college. But to be home it's actually a decent place to be around. The teaching method is very good, most of the teachers are helpful and it's very secure comparing to other Colleges , even from the political side. And the college also pays special attention on women's safety.
Faculty
Well my current course duration is 3 years as I am from the final batch of cbcs board. But the new structure of graduation in our university is for 4 years , means total 8 semesters. If one fails in any exam then he/she will definitely get another chance to clear it in supply exams ( the student will only have to pay the exam fees for that). There are total 6 faculty members in our department currently and 5 of them are really really great.
