- The faculty is very friendly and exceptional in their respective fields
- Campus has a 24/7 general store, hospital and a restaurant which is very convinient
- The campus is enormous and surrounded by beautiful aravali hills
Dislikes
- Admin is very disrespectful and uncooperative
- They randomly shut down opportunities for out passes and daily outing and make no exceptions for any tragedy or personal situation
- They show some other rooms when you visit and the moment your parents leave you, they make you shift and move you to much worse rooms
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very relevant and informative, the theorical and practical knowledge both are equally well thought out. Teaching methods are good but a strict in some departments. 3 internals and 1 university exams is conducted with moderate to easy difficulty level
Internships Opportunities
Internship is included in the course curriculum, one year of internship is compulsory after BDS which is provided in the college itself. The posting is rotated in all 9 departments monthly and then the no dues is signed by the principal.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual tuition fee is 1.75L and annual hostel fee is 1L along with annual gym and cultural fee of 6k and examination fee is 10k. In first and second year they took a kit fee of 22k and 18k respectively. No tuition wavier is given for categories by the university but state and central government scholarships are accepted.
Campus Life
Events take place evey now and then, annual navrati programme and ganpati celebration are the main events taking place in September to October every year. Most of the books are available in the library but not the latest editions. Annual sports event occurs for 3 days which is very interactive and fun. Many student run events take place throughout the year
Hostel Facilities
A three seater room is provided with attached washroom. Non ac but coolers can be purchased by the roommates Meals are purely vegetarian and taste is adequate. Wide variety is provided with special meals on occasion days. Hostel can be opted at the time of admission with 1L annual fee which includes the room, hostel, laundry and cleaning facilities The hostel is situated in the campus with the college nearby
Admission
I applied to Geetanjali university in udaipur but didn't make it there as the university was too far away from my hometown. I would suggest nims dental college because of its relevance to the course and great faculty members. Neet qualification along witn 12th class passing is required for the admission. The admission takes place through neet counselling
Faculty
The faculties are super helpful and intelligent. They are well versed with every single technique and skill that a wonderful dentist requires. The best faculties are definitely that of prosthodontics and orthodontics. The exams are moderately difficult and marking schemes are fair. We had around 60% students fail in anatomy in first year but other than that, less that 10% students fail in exams. Course curriculum is extremely relevant and in sync to DCI
