What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure and facilities are good. All sport grounds are there.
Placement is good. Seniors are friendly.
Few professors are also very cooperative and understanding. But only a few.

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is not good. Only 5 girls in a class of 100 students.
Gundagardi and Bullying is at the peak. Only the strong ones survive.
Some Professors are really the worst person I have ever met on this planet.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good and comprehensive. It makes us industry ready. The department is NBA accredited and the University is NAAC A++ accredited. So it is applicable everywhere in the world. Teaching methods are good. Labs, workshops, classes, projects, assignments, quizzes. There are a lot of things. There are final exams at the end of every semester. They are not so difficult you can prepare one night before exam.

Class Size: 96Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internship to second and third year students. TCM, IBM, Wipro etc. There is good stipend and we get to know about how things are done in the industry and it also builds our CV as we get projects.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are good. Many companies visit the campus like IBM, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. Highest package in mechanical branch is 12 LPA and and average is 4 LPA. Approx 80% student get placement. I am not interested in placement I'm working on so many things. By the time my batchmates would be sitting for placement I want to be in position to offer a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is 1 lakh and total fees of the course is 4 lakhs but if you get a TFW seat by scoring good in JEE then half of your fees is paid by government so you will have to pay 2 lakhs for the course. If you want some additional scholarship and you are good at studies you can check out MMVY scholarship.

Campus Life

Events are always going on in MITS. Big events are held once a year. This year its Tulsi Mahotsav. Many prominent personalities come in our college and our city. The library is huge and has a lot of books. All classrooms are fully AC and all the required equipments are available. All sports grounds are there like Cricket, Football, Badminton etc. There are many clubs run by students for singing, dancing, acting, etc

Admission

I got a good enough percentile in JEE and applied for counselling of various states. I got admission in one of the top colleges in Uttarakhand GBPIET. But I couldn't go there due several reasons. Then I applied for MP counselling and got my preferred branch in top college of my home city Gwalior MITS. So I reported to the college on the given date and got the admission.

Faculty

Faculty members are very good and knowledgeble. All are IITians and NITians. Some faculty members are very cooperative and understanding. But some of the faculty members are just the worst people I have ever met on this planet. I am not writing their names because I don't want to defame anyone but He is watching. There are final exams at the end of every semester and mid sem exams between semesters. The exams are not very difficult if you are in touch with your books. Curriculum is relevant and makes you industry ready.

Average college with no placements and exposure

Likes

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

Faculties are full supportive (except some faculty)
Goverment Hostels are Good becaues of campus area
Oldest College of all over india and first E&TC branch opened in JEC

Dislikes

Zero college life beacuse everyone not get govt. Hostel
Campus distributed because of two way highway
No internship and entrepreneurship opportunity are there

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is totally outdated syllabus that was not relevant for current or future technologies. No fully functional labs, outdated machines and some machines are not working. There is no regular lab class and if have then you will write the practical file intesd of learning about machines.

I like the faculty of Gyan ganga college of Technology. They are very good.
I like the campus of college and it is very clean comparing to other institutes.
I like the placement given by our college and also rate of placement.

There is nothing about my college which I disliked
i like everything about my college and it is very good

from 7th semester studentd are eligible for placement in companies like google microsoft cisco etc. the highest package is 51 lpa and average package is 3.5 lpa. percentage of students getting placed 70%. i plan to get a high package after comnpleting my degree

Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful in academics , exam, and projects. Teaching focuses on fundamentals and practical understanding
The campus has good classrooms , labs , library, and sports facilities .The environments is friendly and suitable for learning.
The placement cell is active and provides training for aptitudes, and interviews. The curriculum is relevant and helps builds a strong technical base.

Dislikes

Industry exposure and live projects opportunities can be improved .
More companies can be invited for placements
i don't thing there's anything i don't like now

Likes

The clubs in the college are good. There are specific club for coding , for robotics, for music and dance.
The placement in the college is also good . If you give some efforts then you will get a good placement.
The curriculum and syllabus of the college is up-to-date and industry oriented.

Dislikes

The college did not have its own campus, so currently it regulates from inside MANIT.
The girls to boys ratio is very poor. In my batch there are only 18 girls among 650 students.
The fees of the college is also very high

Placement Experience:

The college have good placements as far as I got to know. The highest package was 8500000 lpa last year and average package was 1900000 lpa. My plan after the degree is to get god job in ECE cire company.

Best IIIT in terms of campus life as it has over 150 acres of lush green campus with almost every amenities.
College has been improving its recent cultural status and activities by organizing events like Infotsav- Annual Tech fest. The girls to boys ratio is around 1:5 which is decent.
all faculties are phD holders and highly qualified in their respective domain.

Dislikes

Course curriculum is little bit on a harder side especially grading schemes. Some profs may deliberately give low grades.
not that great alumini network despite being the oldest iiit
semester lasts for only 4 months which may prevent many club events and exploration

Placement Experience:

For 4 yr courses, on campus placement drive begins in 7th sem and occur in 2phases in 7th and 8th sem. For 5 yr courses, the same in 9th and 10th sem. In 2025, All tech giants like, google(16 selected), oracle(5 selected), microsoft(3 selected), de-shaw(3 selected), groww(10 selected), american express(10 selected), Nutanix (6 selected), amazon (8 selected). Highest domestic was by de-shaw 67 lpa to 3 students. average package of cse was 27lpa , it+mtech 29lpa and it+mba 28 lpa. 214 students were placed out of 224 registered with a perecentage of 95 %.

I really like cleanliness in washroom and also in the college. I really like trees in college.
Faculty was really good and my subject teacher was teaching in a right way.
In this college the boys and girls in the ratio of 3:1.

Dislikes

Uniform is not allow in this college. I have no many clothes to wear day by day.
I don't like college timing. In winter season timing was not good.
Our campus is very small. And college fest is very less in this college.

Placement Experience:

In 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited in this college like Wipro, Cisco, infosys, etc. Highest package in this college is 20 lakhs. Average package is 5 lakhs My plans after getting the degree is getting good job.

No strict policy for maintaining 75% attendance criteria but you should maintain at least of 60%
No dress code you can wear casual dresses to in the class but you will have to wear formals only in

Dislikes

The class length is very high and there are 80 students In a class in the class size is small and congested
The infrastructure is very bad as it won't providing basic necessity

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college are decent as the average package is of 6.5 LP which is good as compared to the fees you are paying almost 90% of a students gets placedd from here the companies including TCS and Wipro come here

I give JEE Mains exam. After than I sat for MP DTE councilling where I filled choices for SGSTIS Indore ,DAVV Indore ,MITS Gwalior, JEC jabalpur. In SGSTIS and DAVV I can only go with lowest branch so I op MITS Gwalior where I get seat in Information technology specialization in Internet of Things IoT. I choose this college because it has strong reputation since 1947 and good placement with affordable fee compared to other option I applied for. I choose MITS because of its strong academic reputation, a nice infrastructure, and affordable to me if compared to fee structure to private colleges. I has also applied to other institutes but can make it to the entrace exam or felt they were too expensive.
