Remarks

The college was good for studies and placement as well. There is very strictness regarding rules and regulations. And specially Attendance. The college has a very high image in DU. Our college was the first in DU off - campus to get A+ by NAAC.

Entrance Preview

Entrance Exam, Merit List

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was good as it has more opportunities as compared to other courses. The exam structure was based on the previous years as in that the exam was off 400 marks. Just like all the entrance exams for right answer 4 marks, for the wrong answer 2 marks were deducted and for not attempting 0 marks is given. Questions were from English, maths, reasoning, Gk.

Internships Opportunities

The placement and job opportunities are good but not that good. Companies come but as usual, give higher placement for students having more experience. They didn't want students having the low experience, For them, they give less paid placement. Yes, the college provides internships in the mid semester break i.e in the month of June. I have didn't get any internships as I m in the first year 2nd semester and internship is given after the 2nd semester exams.

College Events

4.5

This year the fest was conducted between 20 - 21 February. In which the singer Benny Dayal has come. Many shows happened in the fest like a fashion show, dance competition, etc. In previous years stars like Varun Dhawan has also comedy.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible not as expensive as the fee for the professional course should be that they are taking. As this course is very expensive as compared to other courses of DU JAT but let's hope in the next year the fee will be down.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course, there is no scholarship. For other courses may be there some scholarships. For us, there is only 1 - 2 scholarships that the central government provide only for quota students. In OBC quota only for Muslims, Jain, Buddhism, Sikh and For SC/ST.

Campus Life

5

Yes, the extracurricular activities are good, even I am also a part of the college team in roasters that happened at Aryabhat college. The college has its football, cricket, volleyball team. The basketball team was eliminated by the college authority.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were good. Yes, the senior students are very helpful they helped me in filling my admission form. They always helped us in many things like studies, events. They always are there to help us.

Admission

My course is under the DU JAT entrance exam. So, first I have taken the exam, after the exam in the 4th list my name has come for the admission in Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar college. After that in the 5th and the final list, my new has come for SHIVAJI College. So, first off all I go to Dr. B R Ambedkar college for the cancellation of my admission and to take my all documents that have been taken by the college for admission. Then, I go to Shivaji college for the admission process. In the staff room, all the teachers in my course are there to help me with the admission procedure. Firstly I purchase the brochure of the college in that all the details regarding the teacher, courses, holidays, the fest is written. In that at the back three forms is there regarding the admission. After filling the forms I submitted the form to the teachers over there to help us and as per the rules we have time till 12:00 PM Of next day of admission to submit the fees. After fees submission, my admission was confirmed and I started going to college.

Faculty

5

The faculty was very good and strict regarding rules and regulations and the highest strictness is regarding attendance usually the attendance of students is low so they didn't give admit cards for the students having low attendance.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
