Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I'm in gets it's subjects changed once every two years I guess as our subjects gets updated to the things that would be valued in todays day. The difficulty level of our exams are medium and the teaching methods are interactive and examplery and not only bound to the bookish things.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many internshio opportunities offered. In our school(media) they have placement boards setup which consists of students only who contacts and network these opportunities and in the past year they got 100% of the students one too. This process is done in the 6th sem and students are scored on the basis of how they perform in their respective internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course the yearly fees which I pay is 3,61,044(1,80,522 per semester). This is the day scholar fee as it includes 13,000 of sports charges. For hostelers these sports charges are included in their hostel fees. The hostel fees amounts up to 1,70,000(est.) per academic year. When I first got into this college I had a scholarship of 30% because of my 12th's class grade(which I lost afterwards). Also there is fee relaxation on single child policy too I guess.

Campus Life

4

Bennett University has two festa early that I Uphoria- the annual fest; Zenevia- the tech one. They don't generally have a timeframe in a year in which they get conducted.Besides from this there are also fests held on festivals like halloween and navratri(garba nights) and more. Bennett has two libraries one a general and other the law ine which they update yearly. Every classroom at the minimum has a projecter and a screen with a wide white board and speakers. There are no ceiling fans in the campus other than the hostel rooms. Other than classrooms there are study halls, labs, studios, tv rooms, mobile-journalism rooms, etc. Another event which is held yearly is Sportikon it's a 2-3 day sports event in which many different colleges also participate and compete which is filled woth various competitions. Yes there are many student led clubs including the photography club, dance, singing, anime, event management, etc.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because of the fact that it is owned hy the Times Group and I wanted to be a journalist so it was quite literally the best choice at the time. I didn't apply to any other colleges just this and had Amity as my backup if something went wrong because I feel like with the course that I wanted to do, being in a private college mattered and gave me the edge and exposure I needed in my career line. The admission process was easy I filled out their form in the site, they had an admission counsellor contact me and tell me the details of the online entrance exams, it was an 100 marks online invigilated exam which I passed and then filled out the form filling my necessary details, gov info, school and earlier academic records and then pay the booking fee which amounted to 1,00,000(in 2022, they have updated their policies). Then I was given a date on which I had to go and register submit all the papers, marksheets, get my biometrics registered and my id

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is good, there are atleast two teachers in my course wh0 teach a single subject (1:50). I don't actually have an incudent of falling out with any faculty though. The exams conducted semester wise are mid term and end term only. But in practical courses like mine, we don't have that many exams as comapre to the assignments

From 5th semester students become eligible for internship and jobs related to their courses. Department provides numerous opportunities and offers to students for enrolling in different internships and they help you get that. In bajmc I haven't seen any senior getting enrolled in a news channel yet but they do provide internship opportunities at other companies which may be alright. Most students get placed for internship somewhere or the other. My plans after getting the degree is to get back to news.
