Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is followed by the guidelines provided by the education department set up by the central government. In the first year of BTech the syllabus is same for all the branches ,there are basic subjects like electrical science, Computer programming, Engineering graphics, physics, chemistry, maths, Manufacturing processes, Environmental studies, Mechanics, Management and human values, basic electronics, etc and from the second year syllabus is according to the branches. Every student has to study their branch wise core subjects. I am in ECE 2nd year, there are 6 subjects in the 3rd semester and 6 in the 4th semester too. In 3rd semester subjects were digital electronics, electronics devices, and circuits, analysis, and synthesis of the network, Object orientated programming, etc. And 4th semester the syllabus is around analog things (analog IC, analog communication system) including data structures and algorithms. In a semester there are exams held for 3 times( 2 times minor exams or mid semester 1 and mid semester 2 then at the end of the semester the end semester exam or majors). The mid semester is having 20% weightage each and major having 50% weightage and 10% weightage for assignment stuff.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement in our college is above average I will say at least in 2 branches (CSC and ECE). Amazon comes regularly in our college for recruitment purposes. This year 8 students got 39 LPA package from Microsoft and 2 students got an internship in Microsoft. Rest companies too provide good packages. The average package of these two branched is >10 LPA. Yes, the college provides the internship for the 6th month, here company visits regularly for interns and recruitment. Overall for placements issue, our college is good, the placement cell puts a lot of effort.

College Events

3.5

Almost every typical Indian festival is celebrated in our college with great enthusiasm and fun. Other than that foundation day, maths day and other technical days are also celebrated by inviting some great personalities to give a guest lecture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee in our college is around 70K per semester + 25K for mess per semester. If someone has SC OR ST reservation then there is no semester charged only mess charges are there. For the students having annual Salary <5 lakhs, the fee is charged almost half and for <1 lakhs its around a quarter of the original fee. Due to the segmentation in fee, our college is quite feasible for studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is officially no scholarship by the college except the fee segmentation on the basis of family income, other than that there is no reduction in fee or any extra money provision. There is a loan facility for students having low family income.

Campus Life

3.5

Sports facilities are good here, There's a big ground, badminton hall containing 4 courts, 2 basketball courts, lawn tennis court, football ground, running track(not maintained but still fine ). Labs are not that good, we still doing experiments with the old era types of equipment which should not be the case. A very disappointing thing about our college is that it lacks in extracurricular activities, there is very less number of students doing stuff like robotics, Arduino, Alexa skill development on their own. Rather they just focused on their cgpa which is good but obviously not good for future .

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel accommodation is good here. Rooms are well built and well ventilated. All rooms have a study table and chair included and two almirahs are there for storing items. Common bathrooms are there at both the ends of the corridor and overall it's good. Mess food is not up to the mark, rather it's bad and just average enough to fill your stomach otherwise it's not good.

Alumni/Alumna

There are anyway alumni meet-up organized in college every year in which many alumni come to college for a guest lecture and motivate the young generation Student to do better. Here seniors are good and they provide very useful information and study material along with guidance.

Faculty

2.5

Some of the faculty is very good but some are very disappointing. In our electronics department, teachers are average, they will just give the information and we have to store it that's all. In labs, the Ph.D. and Mtech faculty are more active and knowledgeable which gives our department a plus point. Overall other departments also resemble the same structure of teachers. The mechanical department here has some brilliant teachers but they are too strict which balances everything.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
