Likes

The staff is good and always try to give their best we got very long classes and labs from 9 to 5 so the teachers are always into teaching the students
The syllabus offered to us is very knowledgeable and very interesting and good ppts are provided by the teachers to understand the topics.
Generally all the equipments required for the practicals are provided and present during the practicals so we can have on hands experience of it plus with the help of smart boards topics becomes easy

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not so good there only one building that also only for the one department
The college also lacks sports equipments and not that supportive for sports
There is no hope for the placement in college even after coming in the third year

I have choose this course because of my intrest in medical field yeh syllabus is very much related to mbbs and you get a very broad knowledge of all the subjects and you can easily apply for the further msc exams

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of college is increasing with the year for the first year it was around 20,000 ruppes and for the second year it went around ruppes 21,000 and for the third year it increased upto amount of 24,315 ruppes . The scholarships are also offered to some students if found elegible.

Campus Life

The college does not promote a lot of extracaricullar activities but various societies are present dance , drama and music societies which supports and maintain the balance and people also participates in the yearly sports tournament

Admission

The college infrastructure is not that good and the college is very far from most of the students of Delhi cause it lies in the southern end of Delhi near Faridabad so many students face problem the college does not support extracurricular activities but no doubt is good in academics

The course structure for biomedical sciences is very good and broad you will like it if you are interested in medical field but the way teachers teach sometimes make it boring. The exam structure is good exams are taken only semester wise no mid semester exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Some knowledge some confusion

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

College life in Acharya Narendra Dev College (ANDC), DU

This college was no.1 in my CUET preference list. I did few other courses for safer side but this course as well college was my top choice as it covers a lot of areas which are taught in MBBS and is quite interesting. Delhi University has 3 colleges for Biomedical Sciences, in which ANDC is the top college in terms of ranking that's why out of all three colleges this was my first choice. A few other options that I kept for me was microbiology, biochemistry in colleges such as Gargi and Deshbandhu. The college accepts your scores from CUET in subjects biology, chemistry and physics. The acceptance is done on the basis of your scores as well as your preference list. As this college was first on my preference list, I didn't get to face any rejection. The cutoffs for my admission year of 2024 was around 425+ for general category....Read More
