Course Curriculum Overview

3

course curriculum for all engineering colleges is outdated and doesn't meet the industry standards, what's the point of writing codes on paper for an exam as computer science students ? the system needs to change

Internships Opportunities

3

HyperVerge 30k paypal 80k many companies don't disclose the internship stipend until the day of offer letter roll out on average the stipend being offered is 30-40k placements are really tough and the big companies are taking lower people for a lesser pay as compared to last year

Placement Experience

3

Placements are usually great but this year it's been shit and the college is not at all transparent about the placement numbers, all 4 VIT campuses have placements together as 1 unit so there really isn't a difference between VIT bhopal and vellore

Fees and Financial Aid

i am a category 2 student , there are 5 categories . 1 being the cheapest and 5 being most expensive at. 5.5lakh tuition compared to 1.96 lakh tuition for cat 1 so my fees is 3 lakh tuition and 2lakh hostel for one academic year

Campus Life

3

infrastructure is great , student life is mediocre , clubs and chapters are the most happening and the people who are part of clubs and chapters have the most happening life in college , facilities are good , exposure is good, collaboration between clubs and chapters is good

Hostel Facilities

3

hostel process is based on cgpa , ranks are released for all branches together and a person with higher rank has the option of taking his friends in whichever block or room they desire. Fees is pretty high and the mess is just okay

Admission

i chose this college solely because my friends were coming here and it's close to home, i wouldn't recommend coming here as there isn't any college life as such due to the strict rules and regulations, you can consider PES , DSU, RV etc

Faculty

3

student to faculty ratio is pretty shit i would say it's 1 faculty for every 150 students , best faculties are usually the ones whose classes are fun to attend and not a chore , we have 3 exams and many assessments and quizzes in between these exams exams are relatively easy , 1 open book exam during mid sem rest 2 are closed book

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
