Christ University, BBA, Business Analytics

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Business analytics in BBA is good for those who are into maths and statistics and are ready to be in a data driven world and passionate about it. The curriculum of Christ University makes you study real time case studies and real time management environments through the assignments and exam which makes you more compatible with the real world.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are generally offered in summer breaks where companies like the big four , goldman sachs, amazon, accenture etc. come to campus to hire interns. However bein a first year student my internship will start from 2nd year. However these internships are provided by campus and you can still go for internships from outside the campus too by find for you on your own.

Placement Experience

4

The placements in Christ University are good as of i heard from seniors of my course. Approximately 90 percent of students are placed from BBA in many of the big companies like google, amazon, accenture, the big fours etc. From end of the 6th semester you can sit for placements and average package you can expect is 5-6 lakhs per annum. However if you are too good with your skills and have the best qualities then you can land a job over than a package of 20 lakhs per annum. The highest package of last year was 23 lakhs and average is around 5-6 lakhs. My plan is to go for a job after my degree completion and gain some experience to study abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the total fees for my course i.e BBA in business analytics is total 243000 per year and 5000 extra for the first year as a registration fee. Also many scholorship opportunities are available on merit basis from 2nd year based on 1st year performance. Also many private organisation scholarships are also available for which you have avail it by writing the test and qualifying for it and based on your score the scholarship will be provided. Need based scholarship is also provided but for that you have submit respective documents or required documents for it. Fees for karnataka students or local students is 220000 and for non karnataka students its 243000 per year.

Campus Life

4

There are many fests held by many clubs in the campus one of them is bhasha utsav or ethnic day where all students represent their respective background and culture by wearing the traditional clothes of their states and background. There are more than thousand books available to you from the libraries and are from different genre and many of them are related to the syllabus too. As such there is no technological provisions within the class which is abnormal but smart boards and projectors are used within the class by professors to teach. Clubs like SWO (student welfare organisation) and CSA (Child sponsorship Association) are clubs where it supports the children and society and impact their life positively. The bhasha utsav is organised by SWO only and CSA helps to many poor childre to afford their education and studies.

Admission

I chose Christ University over Woxsen and NMIMS and i applied to all the three colleges and got confirmed admission letter from 3 of them. Choosing Christ University over other two was the ROI. I didn't applied to any other college as these were the one about whom i heard the most and best in my field of intrest. The process of admission in Christ University for my course is of 2 phases. 1st phase is of entrance test which similar to every BBA entrance examination follwed by an interview. Based on the assessment the admission is granted.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is per 60 students 1 teacher and faculty to student relationship is quite more of formal and authoritative. The only faculty I like is my mathematics professor Dr. Prasanth B. who is really a skilled teacher and made my maths way stronger which was the weakest before. I wont say i dont like any professor but everyone of them were strict apart from my maths teacher. Per semester two exams are taken which are mid sem and end sem exams. 70 percent of total marks of semester includes 2 assignments and mid semsester exam and 30% is of end semester exam.

Other Applied Colleges

Woxsen University | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] {Hons.}

It wasn’t providing a good ROI on fees paid.

Placement Experience:

I have not yet attended any of the placement scenario, so I cannot say much about the placements. I also do not know correctly about the percentage of students placed. There are various companies that come to our campus for interviews. There are around 40-50 companies that are welcomed. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, HP, and so on. The average package can roughly be like Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
