Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is well made and related to the computer field and all the tasks are well assigned. The subjects are well made and their courses are very good. This has a great scope in future. So, I Chose this course of Computer Science and Engineering. The curriculum prepares well for the real-world applications and projects. The course is made in such a way that each and every topic that is even asked in placements is well covered. Even though one has to study hard to perform good and learn each and every topic in a well mannered way. The improvements can be made in the 1st year subjects in the Course curriculum as some of the subjects such as physics, chemistry and some other also are there which are not important in our future and are there in the Course curriclum only for passing marks. The exam on the other side are considered in a good way. The difficulty of the exams is considered average. One can easily pass the exams if study well during the exam days only also. There are 2 mid term exams held and one final sem exam at the end of the semester. Overall the exam experience is very good but the marking sucks sometimes.

Placement Experience

2

Placement of the College is mid (Avg Package of the placed candidates-5.5 LPA) Students are eligible for campus placements in 7th and 8th sem. Companies visited our campus include TCS,Veersa Technologies, Havells, L&T, Exceedence, Aarohin Technologies, Daffodil, Solitare Infosys, Volvo, Genpact. Some more are there I didn't remember the name. Every company gives different packages such as TCS- 3.36/7/9 for UG , 4.5/7.5/11.5 for PG, L&T -around 6 LPA, Aarohin- 5LPA, Volvo - 5LPA, Daffodil- 5/6 LPA, Veersa Technologies- 7.5 LPA, Genpact-3.5 LPA. Percenatge of students getting placed who are eligible for placements in my department is around 50-60%. My plan is give GATE Exam and persue masters degree in prestigious institution.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. University Fees (At the time of admission) 10000/- 2. University Fee (Tution Fee, Exam Fee) 9750/- 3. To be paid (yearly) 21000/- ( Lab equipment, equipment maintainence fee, library fee, accredation fee, continuation fee, development fee) 4. Student Fund Charges (yearly) 4650/- (red cross fee, medical fee, sports fund, N.S.S. fee, benevolent fund scheme, identity cum library card, student amalgamated fee, youth welfare fund) Total (1+2+3+4) 45,400

Campus Life

4

The campus life is overall good. There are 2 fests in a year. One is Rhthym(November) and other is Tech Fest(March). They are good to engage oneself in some other activities. The library of our campus is average. There are a whole lot of books in the library but sometimes, the books we are searching for is not present . Otherwise, it is good. The seating arrangement , AC's , ventilation , staff is good. The facilities and technologies in the classes are good as well. There is smartboard and smart lectur stand inside the classrooms, AC facility, windows ,good benches etc. The sports and extracurricular activities are also offered inside the campus. There is separate ground/court for almost every sport. The inter university games are also held inside the campus around October-December. There are marathons in month of February. Overall, sports facilities are good. I also took part in football inter college. Our team won Gold. Student run clubs and social groups are also there where students can actively take part and auditions are held every year and they are actively running inthe campus. Some clubs are Goonj (Music), Lisoc,Sunshine and many other.

Hostel Facilities

3

The rooms are small in size and there are of same size for 2 students as well as single student. They provide a fan, chair, table, beds, sections for keeping our stuff, and an almirah. The room quality is below average. The mess is quite good and the food made by the chefs is also good for most of the days. The menu is set by the mess committee which is made by the students itself. So, it can be considered good. The registration process for hostel is quite smooth. It is done online and rooms are allocated on a single day after physical check of documents as per room availability. The hostels are affordable as per the services provided by them.

Admission

I didn't applied for other colleges. I applied to this only in the physical counselling and I got selected. I chose this university because of its reputation in my state. It is 55-60 km away from my house .So, it was also a reason to choose it. They had good infrastructure, good placement season, good faculty of what I listened off, sports amenities, hostel facilities. Admission process:- The admission process of our college starts from the haryana govt portal(HSTES) where each student has to register on the basis of JEE MAINS Score, branch is given to each student on its basis. Also, some seats are filled in physical counselling as well when the online is over. At my time the student who has rank under 90K in JEE MAINS was accepted for CSE Branch. The admission process was overall smooth.

Faculty

Computer Science and engineering department. Lets discuss the first point first Faculty student relationship . I don't know the exact faculty-to-student ratio but there are approximately 30-40 faculty members in the CSE department and there are 150 students in CSE year(B.tech) let's say B.tech 4th year. Faculty Student relationship is very good, Each and every student can approach any teacher for the doubts and can talk about the mentorships , projects related issues and sometimes even personal issues to some teachers. I personally liked Sanjeev Indora Sir and Kavita Rathi mam. They were a very cool teacher and make the study very interesting. We can ask doubts and talk about anything to them. They are always present for the students. Some best faculties: Sanjeev Indora, Kavita Rathi, Parvinder Singh, Pooja Sangwan. There is no one that I didn't like. They all are very good in nature. The exams are like : Mid- Sem: 2 times (1-time at starting of the sem after one month and 2nd time at ending before one month). Final Exams / End sem. The exams are of average level and can be solved if you study well. Some students (10-20) fail to clear the exams every sem. Some are constant. Some are new. The course curriculum is very relevant as it teaches all the subjects important for our placements and career advancement.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
