Course Curriculum Overview

2

The focus is nice i.e fully flexible credit system where you can opt for your own timetable. But the curriculum is traditional and also very hectic. Due to academics, I wasn't able to improve my coding skills.

Internships Opportunities

4

Amazon, Microsoft, adobe they will provide you with around 1 to 1.5 lakh per month. You should have your own project and also good dsa knowledge and good coding skills and speaking skills. Apart from that you also have atleast 8.5 cgpa

Placement Experience

3

I got graduted this year i.e 2024 and this year very less company visited as comapre to previous years and they are selecting based upon cgpa so you have a cgpa above 8.5 anyhow if you are aiming for placement ctc above 10 and in best case above 9 where you will get chance to sit for every company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Start with the year wise fees of mine. So i was paying 490000 as my tution fee and hostel fee is depending on which type of bed you are opting and it is ac or non ac. I opted for 2 bedded Ac which cost me around me around 88000 and mess is aslo depending on the type of mess you are opting ,i opt for special mess which cost me around 62000. Apart from that there are two more types of mess which is non veg and veg mess which cost less comapre to special mess.Veg mess will cost you around 50000 and non veg is around 56000. I was in 5th category.

Campus Life

4

Apart from academics my camps life is a life long memory where i had a good number of connections and also good friends . There are all types of people you can see in VIT so decide wisely when you are makig a friend becaouse in most of cases you will regret afterwards as they are competing with you in bad manner .There is nt healthy competition in VIT but unhealthy competition where for marks the student just begging to faculties and you will definitely see some partiality so better choose the faculty if you are from north try to choose north indian and if you are south choose south faculty.

Hostel Facilities

4

In room you will get table , chair, almira, cleaning facilties both room cleaning as well as clothes. Apart from that you will get ac if you opted for that. Meal is average but if you opted special mess oyu will have a good breakfast and special mess foood is very nice compare to other college food. Registration process of hostel is based upon your cgpa so better have a good cgpa or a friend with good cgpa and hostel process is done offline whereas mess will be done by online and according to your affordablity you can choose whatever type of bed you want to.

Admission

Because of the rating of VIT and also the placement percentage. No I didnt get any rejection but I go for VIT due to its rating among top 10 universities in the world Admission process is very smooth, you dont need to visit campus by staying home you can complete your admission procedure

Faculty

3

There are different types of faculty members exist in VIT. Te first type of faculty is good in teaching but little strict in giving marks. I know one faculty her nae is Mythili N . She teaches good but fails many student in dsa. Talking about next category who teaches avg but very lenient in giving marks Now talking about exams so there are three types of exam which is CAT1 which is cloese book exam, second one is CAT2 which is open book and who are allowed to access notes in CAT 2 and last exam which is FAT(Lab+theory). Apart form that you also have to give quiz which will be either 2 or 3 quizzes every semester depending on faculty.

Night Life

4

Food in VIT is depends on which type of mess you opted and which mess you opted .The best mess is special mess of darling. THere is gym facility which will cost you around 6000 per semester and cafeteria is very nice and you even get domino outlet inside VIT. Public area closing time is 9 pm. Hostel gate will close around 9. The nightlife is very nice if you are part of any club or chapter and you manage to get night slips. Famous hangout I enjoyed is during cultural and apart from that many hill station like ooty is around 9 hrs so you can plan to stay there if you have long weekend and also coimbatore you can visit and ofcourse pondicerry is around 3 hrs so the best place to hangout

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
