Course Curriculum Overview

All streams are teached by many of highly qualified lecturers. Many of curricular activities done by college NSS group, NCC group and YRTC group.Very interesting courses attract students mind. In this college many areas streams and faculties are available to built a successful and bright future.

I am appearing bachelor in arts in the subject of Political science. NSM City College on of the high established college in odisha. It's teaching facilities and teaching technique are outstanding. Teacher are very friendliest with students. Many of students passout from this college and built and successful career. All types of social work was done by this college. I am thankful to my parents who admitted in this college.

Campus Life

In my point of view this college maintain cleanness and beautiful atmosphere. In our college every year students and teacher are planted 15 plants in college campus to inspire many colleges. College maintain its good environment.

Admission

There are so many colleges in odisha but i choose this college because this college provides many knowledge gaining ideas and modern teaching style and best study nature. In my point of view this college is brilliant

Faculty

The College provides knowledge in many faculties like Arts, Science, and commerce. Many of students are choosing their favorite faculties. In 3 faculty all students appearing six semesters and performing very well.

Night Life

In our college best hangout spot is for me gym and library. In library peaceful environment help us to gain knowledge. Bad thing is there is no hostels for students. Our college start from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm so i have no late night activities experience

College infrastructure and surrounding is great
Smart classes and free WiFi was provided in the campus.

Dislikes

Teachers are not that good . They don't know the concept well.
Classes are not held properly as per the schedule

I was interested in literature since the beginning. And the course curriculum is perfect. I want to discover the deeper aspects of English literature hence I choosed the course. Total 8 exams will held.

Likes

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

sociology as an academic discipline is really sought after in the recent times. it is considered as one of the most sought elective chosen by the upsc aspirants and the discipline in itself gives you a great chance at understanding your society and other societies about how they function amd operate, provides knowledge about various cultures, health, environment, city structure and so much more. you can pursue higher studies or go for NET exams right after post graduation. you can also work with ngos and other nonprofit organizations. each semester is ideally of 6 months and two exams are there. the difficulty level of exams would range from moderate to high

Overall the university is good to go

Likes

I like faculties friendliness. Guidance and support in every area.
I like overall our study pattern, our syllabus our projects our viva our seminars
I like the cultural programmes and events so much our jublee and many more where we learn and enjoy at the same time

Dislikes

I don't like our campus canteen. In our time they newly opened and there food is so cheap.
I don't like counters clerks behaviour. They stretching things so long and we have to wait for that that's awful
I don't tike the office staff behaviour they are very lazy. A small work get done in many days

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum and subject syllabus decided by our HOD and chairman. They make the syllabus in order to understanding upcoming era. The add subject like film studies that in whole Odisha in only 2 University. One is Bargarh University and another one is our university. There are semester exam in every 6 month in 3 years course. Questions are not that much tough. Faculties are supportive also.

When u r in final year, placement in the university get started. 3-4 LPA was the avg salary and companies like Accenture, Jaro, different internship program also came to University Many students gets NET JRF guidance for free also

Remarks:

Yes, my college was most of positive side. I had some good experience with good teachers and some with some bad teachers. But overall it was a good experience. i would recommend every one if you want to join. do it.

detailed review about the academic curriculum of utkal university

my university is one of the oldest and most prestigious university of our state. only the best students get admission on merit basis to this university. faculties here are really insightful and knowledgeable. they have famous publications and authors of some of the best books of the discipline. i had applied for revenshaw university too and i choose utkal university because course curriculum here is better than other universities and they provide a large number of opportunities to their students. i haven't gotten rejected from any universities that i had applied for but i chose this one cause it is one of the most prestigious universities if our state and they provide great academic curriculum for the growth of the students. as for the admission process in MA degree, you have to clear an eligibility test called CPET conducted by the education department of odisha. and students who usually rank 1 to 100 have thr greater chances of getting admitted to this university....Read More
