Remarks

Whatever I felt during my engineering days in my university were overall a very nice enjoyable experience which I can cherish for my life.. I know those days won’t ever come back but whenever I remember all my friends and faculties and all the staffs they were so humble kind and always ready to help ( except some).

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is just same as other universities..saying about exam structure then we had to give three minors and one major during one semester.. the marks were calculated as 40% of the best two minors marks n 60% of major marks.majors were consisted of theory and practical..

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and jobs opportunities were provided by my university.. quantity of companies were not high but quality was definitely very good.. who so ever got placed they we’re getting good salaries.. my university doesn’t provide internships..

College Events

5

We celebrated so many small and big things like technical festivals every year.. welcome party and farewell parties, hostel nights, dj nights.. each and every celebration included one good singer from the industry..several cultural programs and some competitions..

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was quite feasible.. my university was under government so like every govt entity it’s fee structure was respectively low..per semester I had to pay 19,925 for the academic fee.. and other fees included mess fee and my personal expenses..

Fees and Financial Aid

Till the time I was in the university there were no scholarships for general category students.. they were providing almost free education to SC/st students. Loan facilities were not provided by the university but the students who were not able to afford the education there they were taking educational loans from reputed banks.. like I took it from SBI..

Campus Life

4.5

For extra curricular activities my university had basket ball court, cricket ground, volleyball court, football ground. For indoor games they were having student activity centre where all the indoor games were available like squash, chess, carrom , ludo etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes I was in hostel. Hostel fees were included in the overall fees which was 19,925 rs. we needed to pay only for the mess charge whatever we eat in mess.. along with that water cooler was provided.. badminton court was provided.. study room and library were there..

Alumni/Alumna

One of my faculty was deeply involved in making alumni meeting the students which actually encouraged the students to a greater extent.. there are many such meetings so that the existing students can aim what they want to be and where they want to go and what they want to achieve in there lives..

Faculty

5

Overall faculty of my university were good.. some were extraordinarily nice.. some were just good.. I remember my subject professor he tried to be very strict but he was damn kind from heart.. other faculties were just focused on there work. Some were very helping..

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
