Course Curriculum Overview

3

I am pursuing btech in cse which is a feild that is evolving very rapidly and our college being affiliated to a state university ( utu) it follows their curriculum which i personally feels is not very relevant and doesn't cover a vast majority of things that a frech cse engineer should know.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are there but only for third year students . That too are not very good . You have to find opportunities for yourself as it is compulsory for everyone to do internships. Companies do offer internships to 3rd year students

Placement Experience

3

Placements in my college is average i would say . Well my college fees is around 3.5 lakh and if i consider all the expenses like living , eating and all the four year expences then it will be around 10 lakhs. There are comppanies companies coming to the college with highest package of 12 lakhs wich is very good but it is very difficult to get that package. What package you get purely depends on your hardwork college will not be providing any support in it you have to work really hard from day one and at the end you will definitely securea very good package . If you solely rely on college( studying only to pass the exams) then at the end college will place you in a call centre or somwhere similar at 2lpa .

Fees and Financial Aid

My yearly fees is 78200 but it has increased and the new admissions have to pay around 90000 per year for btech . They have scholarship based on merit like if you have scored above 70 percent in 12 boards then 5 per cent of your fees will be reduced if you get above 80 percent then 10 percent and for 90 percent and above the concession will be 15 percent.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is not very good as the management only wants you to sit in the class from morning till evening they dont encourage anything except studying. They don't even encourage going to library. There are a few clubs but you have to be proactive to be inthat groups

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel are there if you want . The facilities provided are an almirah , table chair and bed . Mess is also there . The quality is okish . You can also rent a room near campus or live in a pg as there are a lot of options as there are many colleges near by .

Admission

I choose this college over other colleges is because of the fees is less compared to other colleges and i will be getting a degree from state university. Also you can get admission in this college in any course without appearing in any exam . You can pursue btech without giving jee only on the basis of your 12th boards marks

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio might be around 1 to 30 or 40 but feels like 1 to 70 - 80 as not all the facilities are good . Some of them are very kind but i feel like they don't have good teaching skills but many don't have good teaching skills but they are also bad as a person. When i am studying there are less students and it is a small campus thus everybody knows everyone but recently the college is expanding so I don't know how it will be in the future

Night Life

3

Class starts at 9:30 and ends at 4:10 . During the class hours you are expected to be present in your class and not roam hear and there even going to the library during lectures is not encouraged . After the college everything is pretty relaxed they have a green campus and all the students enjoy the greenery till 5 . There is canteen open from morning till night . Gym opens at 5 pm and closes at 8 pm. Hostel closes at 9 pm and you cant go outside the hostel building after 9 . If you are a hosteller you cant leave campus without permission. The campus is small.

Placement Experience:

In final year of btech companies start coming. Maximum students of CSE and IT get placed. Package is min. 3.2Lacs CTC. Both mass recruiters and startups take part in the placement drive. A good number of students get placed. But maximum students of our college opt for higher studies like appearing for GATE, GRE, CAT exams. Further students indulge in preparation for govt services like UPSC, Defence.

JEE mains provide the gate pass to enter into this college. We should have a great score in this exam to retain our place in this college. The only entrance is through JEE mains no more way. Instead to moving to other college I choose this because my brother did studied there a year before.

Some faculty are there to taunt students not to study. They only know how to push down and demoralize anyone. One thing I didnt unferstand why faculty play politics in college rather than teaching students.
