Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are no special attractive aspects for me to choose this course. I opted this course.on my special intrest and the university is also being that equally supportive and up to the mark of what I thought while offering the curriculum.

Placement Experience

5

On the basis of past year limca book of world record data and the review from the seniors, Vit never fails in giving placements. In every field let it be computer or mechanical or whatever it is Vit never fails in offering placements as it is also tied up with big industrial companies like Volvo, rane nsk and many more

Fees and Financial Aid

Generally the fee structure is categorised into 5 types. Category 1 fees is around 1,25,000 per anum and hostel fees depends on what hostel and mess you've opted for. For category two students with hostel is totally around some 3,35,000 and for category 3 it ranges from 4,05,000 to some 4,20,000. For 4th category people it ranges from 4,30,000 to 4,50,000

Campus Life

5

The campus life is actually good, you can make pretty good number of friends from all type of regions and say you have friends across India. The social aspects are also good and coming to the infrastructure it's pretty decent because we have so many outdoor game facilities, A swimming pool and gyms too

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities varies from the categories. If you pick a non ac block. Trust me it's horrible because of the room temperature during sunny days as it's soo hot in Tamil nadu and when it comes to a rooms there are two types of ac rooms. Normal, Deluxe. The normal rooms have ac with bunk beds and the deluxe rooms have individual beds. But when it comes to bathroom maintenances. It depends on which block you are in because there are people who are so horrible that they won't even flush their loo. And when it comes to mess food it varies from what mess you take and who is your catering person is. The mess is technically classified into 3 types Veg, Non veg and Special. The Veg and nonveg mess are good only if it's by darling caterers. Rest all taste horrible and people hate that food a lot so yep when you join vit remember to take darling mess only

Admission

I was actually aiming to get into IIT kanpur but unfortunately I was not qualified for advance and had to give up my dream for doing aerospace engineering in IIT kanpur Then later I found about VITs abroad program where I can finish my courses which I opted in this university in other abroad universities of my choice from which they offer But yeah there is a qualification test also, if you clear that you will get qualified for abroad universities. The admission process is totally based on merit scoring in VITEEE. If the rank lies under 1lakh, you will get into VIT Chennai or VIT Vellore. After the councelling opens up and the course gets fixed you have to pay the fees online itself. And they will give us a date of admission. Then we have to go asnd check into our hostels.

Faculty

4

As I am in first year right now, I'm not so aware of the top tier faculty but I would say that most of the faculty are upto the mark except the blacklisted ones so yep better be careful with them. And coming to examinations, each semester has three exams. Cat 1 which is basic descriptive Cat 2 which is open book test And Fat the final exam which happens at the end of the semester. Other than that we will have lab fats and quizzes to test our attentiveness in the class and the subject.

Night Life

4

When it comes to nightlife most of the technical clubs work at that time only. As a fresher I am not yet allowed in joining one but yes the only night activity we can perform is to go to night library because that's the only spot where we can meet our friends and sit togther in the nights and hangout with em.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
