Course Curriculum Overview

3

The 1st year is basically class 12th extention except python and C coding language other than these two languages , other subject dont have real world use. The frequency of exams is 3 in a semester. I think it should be 2. I as a student dont get enough time to socialize and play any sports.

Placement Experience

3

From 4th year students are eligible for the placements, and yes VIT offers campus placements. The heights package this year was 88lakhs from motorq, and average package was approx 6 lakhs. My plans after the degree is getting placed and start earning.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is different for different category . Mine was cat 3 so my fees was 4 lakh rupees yearly. One of my friend have category 5 he have yearly fees of 500000. I have another friend who is category 2 he have fees of 3 lakh per year. I have not opted for any scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest that happens is Rivera, which will held in February and also the tech fest ie Gravitas which happens is october. The classrooms are good , every room have a projector so that teacher can show the prepared ppts, for the subject.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel rooms are good enough. But they are a lottle small. The food is okayish here but the menu is big, there are a lot of mess options ie: Veg, nonVeg, special, paid veg, paid non Veg. If your parents live in 100km radius then only you can be a day scholar otherwise you have to be a hosteller.

Admission

I had given jee mains, by that i had Jabalpur engineering collage , SGSITS and some North east Nits, SRM. I chose VIT over them because of placement opportunities and exposure. I didnt chose SRM because of the high fees

Faculty

3

80% of the faculties are good, they are really helpful. But some of them are just bad, they don't answer question may be he/she might remember you and cut your marks intentionally in exams. My calculas faculty was nice Gorintla Suchithra she was amazing in class, also she gave good marks. She was pretty chill. There are total of 3 exams in 1 semester CAT 1, CAT 2 , FAT(finals). Cat 2 is the hardes because it is open book , rest were moderate to easy

Night Life

1

There is no night life . The main gate closes at 8 pm and hostel gates closes at 9pm . If you are late you will be finned. The locality is mostly on outskirts. I have heard from seniors that its not much safe out at night if you are walking to collage from railway station.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
