Course Curriculum Overview

4

The basic motto of amrita is that Education for living and education for life. This means it teaches us about the life as well. Currently elc department is in need because it is a multidisciplinary course and offers job opportunities in both core and soft ware part. The curriculm also has hands on practice which is also needed for the current industries. The areas of improvement is time management and strictness of the mentors. Some also need to have better teaching methods. The timing of end semester is 3 hours and that of mid term exams is 2 hours. The exam ranges from medium to hard

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies like google amazon and accenture reach here for internships. Stipend currently stands at Rupees 80000 and is also good. Students are actually asked to do a lot of project work so that they can be places easily. Projects depend on the course they choose and we are required to do two projects to get our degree here. Tere is also fastrack course for people who are fast learner and can compelte their degree go for a internship or student exchange program

Placement Experience

3

Student from 7th semester can apply for internships and students with cgpa more than 7.0 and welcomed for placements. Top companies like google and amazon too visit the college for placements. And a lot of offers were made. The highest package is 51 lakhs per annum anf the average package stands at 8 lakhs per annum. Almost 95 percent of the students are getting placed. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in a job or complete MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

Amrita vishwa vidhyapeetam offers scholarship slab wise. For departments other than computer science and the related branches the non scholarship fees is around 3.5 lakhs. For students in slab 1 scholarship the fee is 1.25 lakhs For students in slab 2 the fees is 2 lakhs. And for students in slab 3 its around 3 lakhs. An additional caution deposit of 10000 will be charged and is refundable. To get into amrita we can write AEEE amrita entrance exam or through jee. We will be charged an amount of 5000 for their counselling sesion

Campus Life

4

There are two main fests one is ANOKHA and the other one is janmashtami both are celebrated way too grand. Janmashtami falls during september anf Anokha during october. The library has a wide access to almost all the research websites and also contains books that are much needed by students today. The classroom is also equipped with projectors and is furnished. We alao have bring your own device classrooma. Sports meet are often conducted here and are given importance. Extracurricular activities are also good There are many clubs run by the students like raga sudha, natya sudha and much more which performs during every fest.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities arent that bad. Rooms contain a cupboard a table a cot and a chair. Hot water for bathing is provided till 9 a m in the morning. Drinking water is available and is both cold and hot. Only vegetarian meal is served in the mess hall and is actually good in taste. Only the breakfast served is not that good. Hostel accommodation process is also online and almost all the students can be given hostel rooms

Admission

I chose this college only because of its nirf ranking and the location of the campus. So i applied for vit and snu as well. I find vit vellore to be more crowded and also the hostel fee is high. Snu on the other hand charges a fee of rupees 3 lakhs. I got a confirmed seat in Vit vellore but as i already told due to the crowd i did not join there. I was not rejected by any othe the colleges that i applied to The admission process include writing of AEEE exam or through the jee mains score . I preffer AEEE exam because it is easy to score and succeed. It is advisable to choose JEE mains method of your percentile is above 90.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is almost 1:40 . But the faculties are very much approachable and some of them are actually down to earth. The faculties that i liked are Radha Mam (Dept of maths ) and Sivagama Sundari mam(Dept of Electronic engineering) They both are too down to earth. They emphasise on teaching life lessons along with the subjects. The teachers i dont like were my class advisors Lekshmi And Nakeeran. Both of them were too rude. There are around 2 main exams midterm and end semester exam. Other than this class test will be conducted and the are for internal exam. 60 percentage of marks is for internals and the other 40 percentage is for external. In the first sem around 7 students failed to clear the exam. The course curriculum is almost relevant

Night Life

4

This campus has 3 gyms for men and 1 for women and almost has all the equipments required. The public place environment is good and the cafeterias there are 3 to 4 cafeterias in which 2 cafeterias offer non veg Hostel curfew time for first year boys is 9 pm and for girls is 8 30 pm There is a night canteen present in one of the seniors hostel and is very nice to hangout there. Overall it is good to hangout but we have lots of restrictions. Coimbatore is near to our college and can be accesed by train easily

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
