Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was divided in Program Core, Program Elective, University Core and University Elective Program core is fixed and compulsory (designed according to stream) Apart from program core there are certain compulsory courses - 1 foreign language, English, engineering drawing, physics and chemistry All the other courses are picked by us during course registration. Students are supposed to pick according to courses and slotsboffered that particular semester The college could focus more on real time application of course than theoretical. The timing of exams are paced decently

A lot of companies come in for internship During 3rd year for summer internships and 4 th year for placements too There are 3 categories of companies Regular- 3-4lpa Dream -6-10 lpa Super dream above 12 lpa Uber -100000 stipend JP morgan -94000 UIpath - 50000

Hostel Facilities

3

There's bed, study table and cupboard (bunker bed) AC, night canteen, common room for ironing clothes, laundry facilities The mess food is decent but there's always a room for improvement The registration happens yearly and the process is according to sgpa rank There are pgs around but not so great

Admission

VIT was my dad's choice. I was very firm on doing computer science engineering and since my options in bangalore colleges were not great my dad applied to VIT and i got in. VIT was definitely the best option i had in my hand at that time and now that i have completed it i feel it was a good decision. The exposure i got here is definitely unmatched compared to my other friends in engineering colleges. There's a VITEEE exam after that they'll grade you according to score

Faculty

3

The Faculty to student ratio is decent. Although there are times there's a mismatch with the faculty's expertise and their courses. It would be benefitting if the faculty expert in certain domain teaches the same course to students. There were many faculties who were amazing like soumya ranjan saaho, Anupama namburi, Afzal hussain, Beebi Naseeba. I liked them because they were able to generate curiosity in the courses they taught. There are 3 exams per semester- 2 CAT, 1 FAT The exams are liquefied for 20 each giving us a total of 60 marks The other 40 is splitted - 25 for lab, 15 for assignment If the course doesn't have lab all 40 marks is assignment/quiz The grading is relative, the highest grade is S followed by A, B, C, D, E and F is fail

Night Life

3

Since the college is away from the main city there's not many places to hang outside college There's everything inside campus stationary, cafeteria, super market, gym, yoga Hostel in time for girls is 9pm

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
