- The enthusiasm of professors to teach us the subjects are very unique and each teacher is very dedicated in teaching us to the best of their ability most of the teachers have phd or have certain job position regarding their subject.
- Real life examples of our college professors being the best in their subject and some of them graduated from somaiya and then became professors too. There are various side line courses taught to us through coursera which helps in building our CV
- We have minor and major. Various options for minor like marketing financial markets data science ui ux and many kore and our major being finance and marketing
Dislikes
- Even though our faculty are very best the faculty managers or director are very ignorant towards the hardwork of our forum during cultural events
- The college fest is looked over by the faculty alot and they still expect out of bound things from the cultural committee
Course Curriculum Overview
My major is finance and minor is data science this has influenced me alot in choosing the perfect career path for my future. Not to forget our curriculum has overall 6 subjects with a mixture of acvounts maths a bit if strategy planning research paper excel work communication skills stock market aka financial marketing and our subjects change evry semester guven tht we have 6 semesters in our entire degree you can even choose language at the start of the fy though bbm has to pay additional fees of 10k per sem but bba has the language course in built otherwise bba and bbm bith the courses are almost the same
Internships Opportunities
We get internship opportunities from internshala,apli and commune. Even coursera has tied up with our college to help us build our resumes and cv. We have placement cell which holds weekly seminars to educate students abt internships and job opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
The entire fees for bachelor's of business management (BBM) is 5,25,000. Throught the 3 years students have to pay 1,75,000 in a quarterly manner of 50k, 75k and 50k. Dates for last fees payment keep on changing or updated 75000 is tuition fees Regustration fees is 500 I'd card fees is 500 Administrative fees is 50k And other fees or cautious fees is 50k. Other courses like bachelors in business administration is 7.5 lac. There is no reservation as it is an autonomous college with provate courses not govt based. As well as scholarship opportunities are very rare to grab you have to clear CET to get admission after acquiring approved marks.
Campus Life
I live the campus life here as there are so many other colleges in this uni gives u a gist of everything at once. Library are available everywhere with my ID i can access library of any college be it engineering or management.
Admission
I applied to nmims jai hind mithibai jai hind had a reservation system for minorities due to which i didnot get the college in 1st round I got into nmims through npat. And mithibai also gave me their offer but i chose somaiya over all of this coz i was in somaiya college during my juniors year too so a bit of biasness plus it is the only good college which is near compared to other colleges i got in.
Faculty
The favulty to student ratoo is very appropriate the entire strenght of our course is approx 200 and the favulties are around 7 to 8 given the subject. My favourite favulties are kshamta ma'am our research methodology prof and dhruval sir (professional communication studies) both the faculties put a lot of work into what and how teach the students. There is only 1 faculty we dont like but still every college has pros and cons.
Night Life
The nightlife is very peacful and calm as there is hostel inside our campus. My friends who live in campus are very satisfies and fulfilled with their experience. There are gym cafeterias and mesh for girls and boys hostel. The famous hangout places of the college is gargi plaza, maggie house and open auditorium, chess garden
