College review

College fee is not that expensive. Overall engineering fee and hostel fee will be around 3 lakhs for 4 years if aided branch student. Teaching is good. Negative remarks is that placement is average and most of the companies that visit the college are not mnc.

Course is not much advanced compared to present trending. Most of the Syllabus is still old topics which may not be used in present situation. Internals is for 50 marks and Sem end exam is 50 marks.we need to get above 20 out of 50 for appearing to external exam. By adding both internal and external marks grade obtained per subject is calculated.

Placement is good with an average of 70-80% getting job. But coming to package and the companies placed it is not that good. Most of them get placed in service based company like tcs. Average package would be 3.5 lakhs per annum. Some companies that we have not heard also invited for placements. Highest package company was 5.5 lakh this year. No, internship is not provided in the college.

There are so many clubs in the college that conduct so many events like Jamboree , malnad fest etc. sports event is conducted by physical department of the college. Branch wise sports is conducted every year which includes cricket , football, volleyball, basketball, Kabaddi , hand ball etc. Cultural events like painting , dance , singing are conducted.

Fee structure are of 2 types. For aided branches which are ECE, civil , mech, EEE it is around 18 k government fee + 10 k college development fee total 28 k fee per year. For unaided branches like CSE , AUTO, IP, E& I it is around 50k government fee + 10 k college development fee. Fees is not that expensive.

Scholarship for students admitted through Karnataka CET are given 18 k scholarship per year. MHRD Scholarship is given based on student marks in +2 by central government. Many scholarship are available based on category, gender. Some scholarships are reserved for girls , some for SC/ST students.

Sports is conducted by physical department like volleyball basketball Kabaddi hand ball cricket etc. Inter branch sports are conducted. VTU sports is also conducted in which other vtu colleges are competed. Labs are good with equipments.

Alumni association is there in the college. Every year alumni association conducts a get together in November month called 'Nenapina doniyali'. Some alumni's also contributed for construction new labs. Also they help students of the college.

Through Karnataka CET exam, after CET results availability of seats are announced on Karnataka education board website we need to opt the colleges. Upon the ranking that we got in CET we get a seat in college.

Most of them are junior lectures. There are some senior lectures. Totally 26 teaching faculty are there for ECE department. Around 7-8 lectures are senior. Teaching is good. Study material are given time by time. Overall good faculty.
