Course Curriculum Overview

3

The ECE curriculum is tough.. subjects are complicated and one has tk study hard to cope up with the university pace. The fall semesters are usually longer as compared to the winter semesters. The curriculum is packed with two continuous assessment tests and one final assessment test including two quizes and one digital assignment comprising the internal marks.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are offered in the 6th semester by various companies which come to the campus for hiring interns. You can also get an internship off campus. In case you couldn't get an internship, the college offers a capstone project to provide you which working experience.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements start in the 7th semester and continues till the 8th semester. Mostly you get a campus placement from VIT but to make sure you get a good offer you need to work hard for that. Internship are done in the 6th semester. If by any chance you couldn't get an internship the college offers you to do a project under a faculty you provide you with some working experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

In vit, the year wise fees depends on categories you opted at the time of admission. The tuition fees ranges from 200000 to 500000 depending on the fee category. This is only the academic fees. The hostel fees also depends on the type of room and hostel mess you opt for. The other expenses like lab fees and other compulsory charges are included in the academic fees you pay yearly. There are various scholarships also provided by VIT like RAJAJI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP for needy students on merit cum need basis. It's overall a good college, opens various opportunities and gives exposure to various career options. It also has foreign exchange programs under the foreign relations department.

Campus Life

4

There are various clubs and chapters for social life . There are various events going on the whole year organised by the clubs. There is also a student welfare society. There are two fests as well. One cultural and one technical fest

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is very good. All the corridors are cleaned every day including the washrooms. The mess food is okay depending on your type of mess. There are three types- veg, nonveg and special mess. The food and hostel is overall good.

Admission

Admission in vit is done through the VITEEE exam. You get branch depending on your VITEEE rank. I chose this college as it has good opportunities and ranks as one of India's best universities. The nirf ranking of Vit is #8th in the university list. This was main reason for me to chose VIT

Faculty

4

The faculties in VIT are good and highly qualified. They are helping to an extent but not very friendly with students. Only some faculties are friendly. Rest are strict but are qualified professors and can provide good amount of knowledge.

Night Life

2

There's no night life in vit. You cannot remain out of the hostel after 9 in the night. But you can go for night slips working for the clubs and chapters or you can go to the night library for studying

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
