Likes

Hostel accomodations are good, and facilities are also good.
The campus is spacious for many activities.
Canteens also provide good food at all times.

Dislikes

Mess food is ok. Not great. Could be better.
Professors are mid, some are good, some are very bad.
Hostel are wardens are too annoying and are always interfering

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very relevant to our branch and involves varies aspects of the subject for our learning. But also when these many computer languages are being learnt and implemented, we don't recieve any specific certificates for them. But the hardware part is very interactive and engaging.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 245000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees is 2,35,000. Hostel fees is 49,000. Mess fees is 53,000. Registration fees was 5000. Caution fees is 10,000. I'm in scholarship slab 2. My batchmates in slab 3 pay 3,00,000, slab 1 pay 1,25,000.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good, i have found great friends hear and we enjoy alot in the hostel rooms and break some rules by cooking maggi and playing loud music in the rooms, but night life is not so great as we first years have a hostel curfew by 9pm everyday, but this time is frequently extended by our wardens during any events. The campus also has a good infrastructure and provide good facilities for games and club activities.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities provided in our hostel rooms are wifi, cots and shelf for our bed and clothes. We provided services such as laundry for an extra cost of 7500, also we have 24/7 clinic for our health, and large ground, three gyms and olympic size swimming pool.

Hostel Fee: INR 49000 per year

Admission

I chose this college because, I got only 97 percentile in jee mains and did not crack jee advanced and also this was the best choice among my backup colleges. We also heard good reviews for this college and it has a good NIRF ranking, which made an ideal choice, to pursue GATE for Mtech in IIT Madras.

Faculty

Some faculty are very good they explain every doubt, we can contact them at any time and through any means and they are always friendly and understanding. But some faculty are too cut-off and cold and don't even teach good.

Night Life

As first years in the campus we don't have permission for night life due to our hostel curfew which is by 9pm everyday,.but these timings are extended during any events, fests or celebrations. But our seniors say night life is good when you reach higher sems.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

I applied for vit, snu, cuet examination. A decent university

I applied to many colleges like Thapar College, Manipal College, VIT, and LPU and others. I got selected from many colleges, but I chose this college because of its ranking as it ranked 4th best university and 1st in the best private university. This was the only reason for the selection. Now it is also the 7th best university in india and 2nd in private universities. I only got rejected from the Manipal College of Engineering, and they didn't mention the reason for the rejection, but I assume the entrance exam was not so good for me. I rejected other colleges because I find Amrita University better than others. There are many ways to get admission, like from JEE mains or advanced and Amrita's own exam, AEEE.
