Remarks

I would like to give 5/5 to my college and also planning my post graduation from the same college only. And if i plan to do any further studies then the somaiya will always be my first choice forever.

Course Curriculum Overview

It proper like we can say not so length neither too short. Faculties encourage students to participate in other activities also so that they can learn new things apart from their syllabus. For CS practicals was done so nicely i dont that in any college its done that properly.

Internships Opportunities

Yeah we do have a PLACEMENT CELL in our college created by student, for students, by students and its also run by students. Some faculties are also supporting them for this so that the students can learn about the corporate world how it works.

Placement Experience

4.5

I can sae on this even the person who has got 50% marks in their academic year even that guy has a job now that to in the top lead companies of india. For career options also the students who are not sure where to go after there graduation they guide them by conducting career concealing activies in college.

College Events

Utkarsh (main event) Zenith Udaan Techfest Ganesh festival as college is in mumbai Annual day Farewell for final year students Freshers party Blood donation camps Mediatek And they always try to come up with new ideas every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It very feasible i mean even a middle class family can afford the fees. They also provide scholarship for the needy people and for reserved class. They also provide financial support to the students whos parents are not there and they have the talent. Like they take admission on talent basis also.

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide scholarship to the reserved students. And the one who dont have their father i mean the mother is taking care of kids such kinda kids. Our college support them financial very much. They also provide sports scholarship for the students who are good in sports.

Campus Life

I can say somaiya is all about activies the whole year. For CS, IT and Bcom students we have lab sections. Our college also take participation in football tournaments, cricket tournaments, table tennis, kabbadi, kho-kho, relly race , running.

Hostel Facilities

Yeah we do have the hostel facility too in our college for the students. Its also well maintained as they have provided the gym also for students health. The mess for the hostel students is also nice we even has the jogging in our college for everyone.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah the seniors are so helpful as they treated us like their younger once. And our college also condust alumni reunion in our once in a year so that all alumni can meet up and have good time its also like a fest in our college.

Exam Structure

Exam structures are very strict i mean they never allow any kind of mischief during exam time. Even they give study leave one month prior to exam dates which is so awesome like we can prepare ourselves for it.

Admission

Its completely based on marit basis. In start we have to fill an online form and submit it in college which cost Rs. 100. After that the merit list will be displayed in some days. We have to check the list online or in college and then we have to fill the admission form with specific fees amount mentioned in prospectus.

Faculty

Faculties are very kind, supportive always there to help its doesnt matter if its about studies or anything else that treat their students very well. As im allumia even im in contact with my mentors from the college.

Dislikes

Just the space is not good like congested, other than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is up to dated also including amazing practicals and computer labs too. Real world application is amazing and the course with having practical experiment gives the experience, Next we also have excursion cum study trip around nearby gardens which is a fun way to learn and enjoy at the same time. Exams are in a way that helps to evaluate the students expereince and knowledge.

Likes

The staff and faculty members are very supportive and good in nature.
Friendly student environment. Never heard of any ragging incident taken place.
They conduct Events, workshops, and different activities regularly and neatly.

Dislikes

Canteen food is limited and quality is average
Limited Campus placement opportunities and less industry experience
Lab equipment and resources needs to be improved,

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are limited in the college. A few companies visit during the final year, and students usually becomes eligible fromo the last semester. The packages offered are generally modest, mostly for entry-level roles. Only a small percentage of students get placed thorugh campus drives, while many prefer to apply off-campus for better opportunities. The college provides basic placement support such as info about job openings and guidance, but students need to build their own skills and prepare independently. After completing the degree, students prefer to pursue higher studied, professional courses, or entry-level IT jobs.

The campus itself is huge and beautiful tbh.
The Events or Fest Days like it was crazy like ganesh utsav, Holi , Etc etc.
The exam envoirment was strict but only if we had exams at foundation college otherwise it was not that good if we have exams in same department

Dislikes

The faculty. like they dont even know the subject core or anything from the subject
Food and canteen services. i had worst experinces about the food quality from sandip university.
Campus was Huge but not safe. sometimes hyena comes sometimes cheetah sneak in our campus. at night it looks like haunted college tbh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

like i was sure that i want a course that will give me experince about AIML with subjects like 3D design + Coding + Envoirmental studeis and all. and the course from the sandip actually have all these subjects in a single course thats why i choose this course. curriculam was good it was updated on time. the course helps me to land a internship with goverment cause i learn the basics of AI from this course. the ares of improvements should be the faculty members like they are horrible sometimes they dont even make the notes for the subjects they ask students to make notes and shared with other students. even one of the faculty member shared a playlist form youtube for a specific subject and ask us to take notes from it and prepare for exam not a single leccture he takes at that time. the frequency of the exam is also not that good cause the want us to prepare for the final semster exam which is of 6 months in just 3 months with all the paper works , projects , assignments etc etc.

There is no ragging of any kind in the college. Due to the large number of security forces, bodyguards, and bouncers, there is complete security and privacy in the college. So girls don't have any fear in college, everything is safe.
The faculty speaks in unison with everyone. If someone does not understand in English, they are also explained in their mother tongue, so that no child faces any inconvenience while learning.
In college, not only education but also a lot of attention is paid to culture. Which is very necessary for current students and I have also participated in many new cultural activities.

Dislikes

The college follows the time rule but sometimes there is no understanding about a child or his late arrival. He is stopped at the gate, no matter how far you have come. That there is no one available at the gate to understand the person concerned
The college is completely technical and only blackboards are used during lectures and no projectors of any kind are used. Projectors are used only during presentations and that too at very minimal times.
The highest fee in the college is for MBA and smart classrooms are provided only to them, which is tantamount to partiality to the rest of the students. This makes those people realize that the faculty is poor.

Placement Experience:

After taking admission in the college, the placement drive is started for the student immediately from the second semester. All the information about which is sent to the class wise group and if the student is eligible, you can apply immediately after seeing your experience. The experience is very beautiful. You learn new things. You also understand how the interview round is conducted and what the eligibility is. Most of the companies that come to the college include renowned companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Deollite, etc., which hire students. The biggest package of Rs 7 crore per NM has been given so far from Sandeep University in the entire Nashik district.Which is a matter of great pride. Sandeep University is the only college where the largest job fair seminar in Maharashtra is attended. In which students from all over Maharashtra come and give live interviews to companies that have come to the college, give their region and announce hiring on the spot. Therefore, this college provides the greatest opportunity for students to meet all the renowned companies under one roof in one place. During the interview, the student's critical thinking skills and his/her inclination are shown rather than CGP and marks to determine whether he/she is eligible or not. In my experience, the college provides such strong education that at least four students are placed in companies every week. I am currently completing my graduation and will be starting my career immediately after that.

Likes

All clear paperwork for admission, no hassle of domicile or and other extra documents and direct admission.
Options to choose between subjects as they are not gonna force any thing on you and you could select subjects from different streams also as like I've selected business etiquette from commerce faculty.
The library is well furnished and equipped. In my free time I just sit there and complete my assignment or read some magazines.

Dislikes

Some classrooms lack finishing and somewhere the paint is peeling of.
Some of the guards are arrogant, some in parking lot and in buliding entry gate.

Placement Experience:

I think 5th sem is where students start getting placements or internships. I don't know much about the placements as it's my first year and my colleges started just a month ago. My plans aren't straight forward as I come from a business background I can't predict what would I be doing but I want to have a career in operating system development .

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Likes

They give non-typical college feel where you don’t have to think about anyone as a stranger and can talk openly but within some limits and moderation.
Their courses are out of the norm which are fundamentally created around sports and can make a career in that specific field.

Dislikes

Their management is just the same as any other college as normal procedures just take too much time.
Strict rules to be followed by the university guidelines.
Not to expect any good events to be hosted by them

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

An honest review of my college experience

I applied for S.I.E.S college of science, arts and commerce, Mumbai and kj Somaiya college of science, arts, and commerce. But i got confirmation in sk somaiya college. So I choose this college over others i Waited for this college because I heard many fascinating thing about this college. Other college like kj somaiya i didn't get admission because of percentage eligibility there was more cutoff comparatively. The eligibility of my college is minimum 80% above percentage and exams such as ssc board then CBSE board are required, if talking about experience I had a very mid experience because I didn't took all the required documents and i had to run to xerox place but one thing is good that the xerox place was available in the college itself . I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. The eligibility depends on each years cut offs and requirements....Read More
