Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course I have chosen is ece which is mostly comes under the current electricity from 12th standard, like right now I am studying in sem two which is easy till now and I have learnt something new because we have fundamentals of electrical engineering labs and all, so it is easy. i haved learnted a lot of things along with IOT. I got some practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

3

i have heard that the average package is around 8 LPA. The highest package is around 54 LPA. I guess the 3rd year students can apply for placements. My plan after getting the degree is working for one or two years and go for the for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for ece at Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam is categorized into four slabs based on amrita and JEE mians percentile for slab 1 the fees is around 1.5 lakhs per year, slab to 2.35 lakhs per year, slab 3 lakhs per year and slap 4 which is non scholarships 4 lakhs per year.

Campus Life

4

There are two main fests for engineering students in Amrita number one is gokulastami and number two is Anoka anoka is a tech fest where you get to attend number of workshops and tech competitions etc. There will be many fests also so you can attend and eat. Mostly gokulastami will be the first fet you get to meet your seniors and interact with them, they are very friendly so no issues of ragging.

Hostel Facilities

3

For first year students you don't get to choose your roommates they will be alloted by your wardens. You will not be allotted with some other departments you will be alerted with the students in which department you have joined. For first year students they will give you four membered rooms. In final year you will be allotted with a single room.

Admission

The other college I have applied is VIT Vello which I was unable to get into but anyways the VIT have many students compared to Amrita. Amrita have less number of students which gives you more opportunity to interact with teachers and not get spoiled

Faculty

3

The faculty to student relationship is really good. But anyways it depends on the student behaviour. There will be only 2 main exams like the MID sem and final sem exam. mid sem marks are considered for 30% and finals is cosidered for 40% for most of the subjects, the remaing 30% will be given for assignments, class tests and projects if any.. It is not that hard to clear them but need to do some work to pass.

Night Life

3

You cannot expect a nightlife in Amrita where before 8:30pm girls should be there in their respective hostels and before 9:30pm boys should be there in the respective hostels. There is a separate gym for girls and a separate gym for boys which is for free of course and there are total of four canteens in in the campus the food is good but the type items are not. There is a night canteen in girls hostel and there will be another night canteen is boys hostel also. Do not expect the night canteen to be open till 12 or 1'o clock it will be only till ten o'clock. For a month they will be giving you two day passes and one home pass. The only thing is you cant make sudden plants because you need to apply the day pass or home pass before twenty four hours and the hostel warden should approve it.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
