Course Curriculum Overview

4

the relevance becomes a relative topic as most of the students opt for software jobsa and their degrees are majoring in something in else so the degree becomes irrelevant although someone who likes his/her branch would have a good time here

Fees and Financial Aid

The year-wise fees of NITR are approximately 400000 and 200000 per semester. My batchmates who are enrolled in 5-year courses such as Int. MSc and dual degrees and lower costs of 40-50k per semester regardless of the category; if someone has category, the fees are less. Students with family income less than 1 lakh have lower fees around 20-50 thousand. my fees struc. is something like hostel fee = Rs. 23236 sem fees = Rs. 76500 med fee-rs.2000 tuition fee-50000 other(exams, labs etc)= Rs. 5000 hostel seat rent = Rs.5000 There are scholarships available for students who have low-income certificates and also for students with family business, but I don't have much idea about these as I can't afford most of them

Campus Life

5

The club culture here at NITR is one of the best and largest they have clubs for almost everything and they have 4 fests a year and a celeb night who gives us ample amount of experience and memories to carry along with us and the food spots here are one of the best and cheapest in rourrkela

Admission

This was a Tier 1 college and some of the best companies visit here plus it was close to my home and it had good reputation for research and my branch here also gave me a lot of free time to do coding.

Faculty

4

The faculty if circuital branches are good and have vast knowledge and the faculties of non-circuital branches have some rare gems who are very intellectual and helpful overall good enough faculty im not sure abt the ratio but there is a shortage of faculty

Night Life

3

There isnt much nigth life as there are guards patrolling everywhere and shooing people out after 12 o clock but one can easily dodge guards and take a night out with friends almost all stalls close after 12 expect one or two which have a large influx of customers

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.
