Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the course with only the knowledge of the scope it has in the current world. Cyber security in general is one of the hardest course there is at the moment. But the university hss tried to make it easier for us by breaking down the portions into small small bits that we are able to handle and manage with putting in enough effort. Could decrease the number of subject though. We have exams very frequently like monthly tests and then mid sems and end sems.

Internships Opportunities

3

Cohin shipyard, wipro, paloalto, google, microsoft etc all provice internship opportunities and the stipend im not really sure about as im still in the fiest year. Almost every students get internships and also gets placed with only a handful of students not gettings selected.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placements at 3rd year. Theres google microsoft palo alto and multipult other big companies offering an average of 10-12 lpa packages while also the highest going upto 64 lpa from paloalto. Almost all the students get placed thru campus selection as there is a rigorous training for placements from the first year itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have taken NRI admission which has a fees of 8000 USD and a seperate 73000 for hostel and mess fee. There is scholarships that are provided by the college. It is based on slabs which you can earn with good marks in JEE or from the exam for amrita AEEE. Theres slab 1 slab2 slab 3 and slab4. Slab 4 is at around4.5 lakkhs whereas slab 3 is at around 3.5 lakhs and slab 2 is around 2.5 lakhs whereas slab 1 is at around 1.5 lakhs

Campus Life

4

There are way too many programs held at amrita per year to name them all. But the biggest of them all is vidyut. Matter of fact it is going on to happen this may on 22nd 23rd and 24th. There are a huge collections of books and research papers in the library while having an even more vast library in their E-library. The classes are well equipped with 2 plugs for each table and around 12 plus on each row and around 24 fans in a class and a huge white board and a benq projector. Sports events are held pretty often with one main sports even per year in which first years 2nd years 3rd years and 4th years and then masters students compete against each other. There are an unnatural amount of clubs with a few major clubs such as bi0s, amfoss etc. Where bi0s is not only well known in the country but well known across the world

Hostel Facilities

1

The room for first years is for 3 people. 3 beds with drawyers in them for storage and there is a table with storage area on top for each student and a plastic chair as well. There is an attached bathroom in the room and the cleaning of the room and the bathroom is to be done by the students. To be honest the food is kind of horrible. Worms are found quite often and food poisoning is very common.

Admission

I chose this college as it was near my house and a lot of my friends and cousins study there. I applied for VIT and Manipal and had confirmed admissions but didnt go for those as they were very far away and comparitively educationally amrita was better. The admission process is very easy. All the directions are given in the site. And all theupdates are given in your mail

Faculty

4

I have been studying here for about 6 months and there has never been a shortage of faculty. The teachers are usually very good with the exception of a few ones. The faculty is very approachable. They can be pretty strict which is nice but some of them are straight annoying or boring and doesnt know the topic their are teaching. Favorite faculty member is kurunandan sir whereas the least favorite is ARG menon. Each semester has 2 main exams, the mid sems for 50 marks and the end sems for 100 and then theres 2 tests for 15 marks each which goes for internals. Most subjects are split into 60 percent marks for internals and 40 percent for endsem exams. The course is split in 8 semesters where the last 2 semesters you can work or go for an internship or go abroad with the exchange programs provided by the college. More students pass the courses while only a handful manage to fail

Night Life

2

The gym is very well equipped and there are 3 canteens aroumd the whole campus and theres 2 libraries one in the biotecj building and the other in the engineering building. The hostel for boys open at 5am and close at 9 30pm whereas for girls the hostel opens at 8am and closes at 5.30 pm. Lovers park is one of the most popular spots of hangout knside the college whereas outside the college theres pepino which is a great icecream spot. And no the area is not safe to roam around at night for boys or girls.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
