Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is quite industry ready with it goingunder revision every semester considering the recent industry changes and the potential impact which it could have on the indstry in the future. Our seniors are already being placed in companies in their second year itself all thanks to the future ready curriculum provided.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship opportunities offered are immense. The college does give you internship support. It invites companies to hire interns. Many companies such as Swiggy, Zomato, 0xPPL, Dukaan, Wealthy, Neurowyzr, WNS-Vuram and others have hired interns from here. Some students also availed remote and international internships. 12 of our seniors are interning internationally in countries like Singapore, Bali and US. The highest stipend was 2 laksh per month in Singapore.

Fees and Financial Aid

We only have a single course here and the total fees for 4 yearsincluding hostel, mess, courses and other things usually amount to 25 lakhs, yealy it nearly amounts to 6 lakhs depending on the type of rooms you prefer and other details.

Campus Life

4

The college has a wide range of clubs with most of them being student led in diverse categories with students who have a rich experience in the field. The facilities and the technological provisions in the classrooms are amazing complemented with the presence of wide range of books in the library though only a few copies of each are available. The annual fest is known as Yugaantar.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has taken a few floors of a nearby PG for lease to provide accomodation facilities for the students. And the accomodation facility is mandatory. Registration is done at the time of admission. The meal quality is not so-great. The rooms come in three varieties: Double Sharing, Large Double Sharing, Triple Sharing. Apparently, Large Double Sharing is just Triple Sharing rooms alloted to only two people. The rooms are equipped with one study desk and two or three chairs and a cupboard depending on the occupancy.

Admission

The colleges that I applied to had the traditional way of teaching with obsolete curriculum with lack of industry preparedness and exposure. Hence, it was the greatest dealbreaker for me considering the recent changes in the industry and the advent of Gen-AI. The admisssion process of my college includes a written online test followed by multiple rounds of personal interviews after which you get the admission letter.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is not that good, but we also have special faculty known as BSM's at our hostel who also help us in the day to day academics along with the instructors. All the faculties are of high industry exposure with great experience and commendable knowlege. The exams here are quite a talk, they are difficult to crack especially with previous night studies.

Interview Experience

5

Interview is conducted through the alumni of Scaler Academy who are in touch with Scaler. The interview process is quite simple. There will be two parts in one interview, 1. Questions round where you'll get 2 or 3 questions of Logical Thinking, Reasoning or Mental Ability. 2. Dreams and Aspirations where you describe your future plans, dreams and aspirations.

Night Life

4

The college has a cafeteria in the basement which has a good ambience and an average canteen. The surroundings of the college is occupied by companies and hence do not have much of recreational facilities. The students are also give complimentary cult-fit gym subscription which students make use of after or before the classes. The local area is quite safe to roam around. Movement in the hostel is restricted from 10:30 in the night to 4:00 in the early morning. Though students can avail permission to arrive late or leave early or late.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
