Course Curriculum Overview

5

SSt focuses on real-world skills from the very 1st year, with early easposure to DSA, software development and product building. the opportunites to work on live projects, hackathons was a major factor that set this course apart.

Internships Opportunities

5

Prominet companies that recrutied from SST include Swiggy, Zomato, Freecharge, Urban company, Dukaan and Apple Developer Academy. The students were offered roles of SDE, system engineering, prodcut development and frontened development.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structere is failry starightforward and applies uniformly to all students, regardless of category. it doesn't have any reservation system. Tution fees: 2200000 everything is covered in the tution fees only. SSt offers finacial aid and scholarships mainly through: Merit-Cum-Need-Scholarships: This based on a combination of entrace perfromance and finacial backeground. Merit-Based: This offers to students who performed well in other competitve exams. you can get a maximum of 25% of scholarship, this is on the basis of what my batchmates have gotten

Campus Life

1

The campus Life here is not great, it maybe beacuse sst is still in its early stages, but very less events happens here and the mainly those events are student driven. The sports faculty right now is very poor, like i said sacler treats sports just as a refreshemnt activity and nothing else

Admission

The main reason why i choose sst over BITS was because of its curriculum, and how it focuses on building real skills. to take addmission here u just have to give the nset exam and after that clear the one on one interviews

Faculty

5

The student to faculty ratio is as of now less but it expected to increase in the upcoming year. You can expect to give exams monthly, though it can be easy for you if your probelm solving skills are good and if u are good at revising things.

Night Life

1

scaler provieds you with a cult elite membership, and the cult gym from our current hostel is just 1.2 kms away. night life at scaler is very poor, u can't go out after 10 30 pm, and there is pretty much nothing to do in the hostel except going to ur friend room and chilling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
