Course Curriculum Overview

5

As per many people Prod Guys have good scope in Management and I myself have a good ineterest towards it so that was the major reason and the most important one was that i wanted mechanical but didnt get it so prod was the one resembling it the most....The Curriculum Is Great in Helping real world skills instead of only bookish knowledge....For easy to understanding i guess that they should provide notes instead of making us write them....The exam dates are yet to be finalised so cant explain a lot about it

Placement Experience

5

Mostly after 6th sem....Mostly Well Known Co.panies Like DE Shaw,PNG,etc Visit The Campus For Placements Making around 30 offers....52LPA was the highest package from CSE Dept.....An Average Of 88% people get placed....I Plan to Give CAT and Go For MBA From Top IIMs

Fees and Financial Aid

I myself is a reserved Category candidate.....so for me the institue fee is nill just in the first year i paid 34500rs as a one time fee... Talking About Mess and Hostel fee....I Paid A Total Of 57100rs which included 5000rs mess advance For scholarship I have applied for the NSP(National Scholarship Programme) and the process for it is underway I also paid 30000rs during my JOSAA Process which also got included in the total For General Category(AFAIK).....The Institute Fee Was 122500rs

Campus Life

5

Major fests include Pragyan (March),Festember (September),NITTFEST (October),etc....The Library Is Very Vast Including a wide range of books and journals....The Classrooms Include Projectors And White Screens For Enhanced view till the last bench.....Today is actually The Last Day of SPORTSFETE the NITT interdepartmental Sports Meet It Is Of 3 days And Marks A Significant Weekend in the yearly schedule....Various Groups Exist Like 180DC (Management),SIGMA (Management),IFSA (Financial Management),Spydee (Coding)etc and a lot of differnet ones but these ones are the most recongnised....Thest Help The Students A Lot In Their Overall Development

Hostel Facilities

5

The room include study tables with chairs mostly for 3 people,3 beds and 3 cupboards...Windows with mesh.....The Mess Menu Is Mostly South Dominated But Not That Bad....The Quality Is Also Good...First Pay the Hostel Fee And Then While Reporting just submit the antiragging affidavit and get alloted We can also come with friends and get same room alloted....I Live In Hostel

Admission

I personally am from Maharashtra so for VNIT Nagpur I Would Have Got ECE(HS) But Is Prefered this college for its national importance and name....i Even was getting top maharashtra colleges from MHTCET.....I wasnt Able To Clear The Criteria In JEE Advanced to Get Into IITs And Hence Couldnt Go There....The 2nd paper went terribly wrong for me but now i am happy....We have the match the required criteria in jee mains to get this clg....also 75% in boards is inportant for Gen and OBC and For SC ST it is 65%....Then Go Through a very very long admission process named JOSAA then CSAB(if you want to upgrade your seat) Then Pay The Fees And Report Physically

Faculty

5

The faculties are really helpful....i Myself being the CR Of my section they are great....But Sometimes they just want us to just work like slaves and all....I actually Liked my Maths Prof....Mr Ravichandran...He Is a very kind hearted guy who explains every topic in a nice and simple way making it easy to understand....I Cant Say I Dont Like But The Graphics Prof Just Was A Bit Rude(IMO)...AFAIK we have got 2 CTS combining 50 marks + assignment for 10marks + an end sem for 50marks....I havent given any exam so csnt explain the relevance and the failing rate

Night Life

5

There Are Dominos(Newly Opened) and CCD (Cafe Coffee Day) right in the campus and are very good...Also There Are Local Pizza and all sellers in the campus making it easy to run away and find a shelter after getting boared by mess food...There Are 2 Gyms One Paid And one free Also An Open Gym....The Central Library As i mentioned earlier is very vast and helpful....The Hostel Gate Closes At 9.30pm in the night...The Major Hangout Spots are MIG 23,CCD etc

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
