- The Bcom Honors students especially seniors are really helpful and very career oriented, lot of them are pursing CA/CFA alongside their course
- Financial Management is taught in a very interesting and thoughtful way by amit singhal sir, helping us learn the concepts.
- the sports facilities are nice, we play cricket every week.
Dislikes
- The attitude of HRM teacher Sangeeta Rani is very bad towards students, she cuts marks for no reason and does not maintain proper records.
- Ankur jain of economics department doesnt give marks on merit, there is randomization of marks and no explanation to it.
- Praveen Sir of commerce department lack teaching expertise and often award female students more than male students due to favoritism
Course Curriculum Overview
B.Com Honors course is relatively less content heavy, therefore it is easier to pursue courses like CA/CFA/CS/CMA alongside the course. The Curriculum is also supplementary to the professional courses so we get additional benefit by studying twice for our exams and professional exams as well. The exams happen half yearly and are easy.
Placement Experience
Usually 3rd semester students become eligible for internships and 5th semester for campus placements. Only DE Shaw and Big 4 are the good companies that provide placements. Average package here sits around 7.5 to 8 Lakhs. Bcom Honors and Eco honors students get placed the best.
Fees and Financial Aid
Thye yearwise fee we pay is around Rs. 16500 and if we include the exam registration fee as well the total is Rs. 19000 Reliance scholarship is available for students, with many of them availing this... it covers atleast 905 of their fees.
Campus Life
Ramjas Consulting Society is the best society in terms of professional and overall development. They provide students with industrial live projects and also engage in corporate communications. Other good societies include synergy and enactus they engage with finance and social development fronts providing a more holistic development. Theres no AC and thr overall facilities are bad. sports is nice but the college doesnt really encourage it
Admission
I applied for this colege through CUET exam, the cutoff for B.Com honors course was 764 in 4 subjects (this was when subject total was 200, now it has become 250). My dream college was SRCC which has a better society culture, more competitive crowd and AC facilities as well. I feel SSCBS and SRCC are the only colleges which preside over ramjas in terms of overall development for undergraduate courses.
Faculty
In the commerce department the faculty is very approachable usually but some of the teachers are very inconsistent in the way they maintain records, lack formal communication skills and often penalize internal marks due to their own fault. Teachers like Saurav Meena, Enna Maam, Amit Singhal Sir are very approachable and help around with student queries. Teachers like Sangeeta Rani, Praveen & Ankur Jain (Economics GE) penalize internal marks because of ego issues, One student presented such a good ppt that Ankur Jain humiliated him in front of whole class calling him liar and deliberately cutting his marks.
Night Life
The library is good as it is the only place that has AC and Wifi and the gym is also nice to workout but the timings are strict with regards to when males and females can use the facility. Hostel timings i am unaware of but class timings are usally 8:30 Am to 5:30 PM good places to visit are hudson lane and kamla nagar
